I have seen tons of stuff get passed by PSA/DNA that is clearly not legit(lots of clubhouse Hank Aaron are passed). I have seen less of this happen with JSA. I trust JSA much much more than PSA

That's a small microcosm to base your opinion on though; especially considering PSA does much greater volume than Spence. I trust both companies and don't trust both companies equally. However, in terms of vintage signatures and resale...I'd go PSA every time if I planned to sell the item.

must not have gone very well if he never posted about it again :|
Agreed, I even PM'd him with a link to his own thread requesting updates.
It's been read and gone. Nothing.
Guess it WAS too good to be true.
Hope he didn't sell the house to buy it. :?

This is the first time I've seen this post and the only thing I can say is, I hope that auto is done in pencil, since silver sharpies weren't around back in that era....tough to see from the scan of what the auto was done in...

I spoke to him about the choice of PSA/JSA and to keep me posted. He said he would! :D
PM'd him again asking for an update, PM read and no response. Figured he was too busy to give details.
Figured I try again......

Sorry guys that were following this, I haven't been here much. I sent the pennant to JSA, and it came back as bogus. It was a pencil sig, not a silver sharpie. All part of the business, that's the way it goes. Even the dealers take a beating every once in awhile. I was pretty sure I had a good piece with this one. On to the next treasure lol.

I was hoping it was real too!!! Probably not as much as you! ;)

The pin should still be pretty collectible, and the pennant is a nice period piece as well.

Thanks for posting!

Yep, sorry once again for the delay. Maybe I'll throw it up on Ebay with the Spence letter & try to recoup a few bucks.
