Yes, let's please talk about our f-ing feelings. I'm sorry if me having a strong opinion hurts your feelings. Feel better?

Uh, No Sparky. I've been on these boards way to long for an arrogant ass like you to hurt my feelings.
When I feel someone's acting like a pompous tool I slap 'em up side the head. And if I act that way I'd expect someone to do the same thing to me.

Now I feel better Thanks.

Steroid implications prevent him from going in on the first ballot.

I'm totally intrigued to see how this one pans out. Do the Hall voters only choose to keep power hitters (Bonds, McGwire) and power pitchers (Clemens) out of the Hall, or do they wise up and realize that one of the main benefits of steroids lies in shortening recovery time (catchers, pitchers).

I still think it's funny how, for the most part, the average person associates steroids with bulk and muscle, but if you look at the annual batch of Tour de France riders who pee positive, they are some of the thinnest guys in the world.

All of the above tested positively. Do you automatically remove all people who played in the 90's from entrance on first ballot because of the era?

What is this country coming to that people actually get offended or feel disrespected when someone states an opinion that differs from their own. My freaking lord.

No one is offended. We were just pointing out that you don't know what you're talking about. You have your opinion. Yay you!

Actually, I wouldn't, since I think Bonds, McGwire, Clemens, Palmeiro, etc should all be in the Hall. But I respect the voters who choose to do what you are suggesting and simply don't vote for ANY players from this era. I think it's a much more intelligent view than those who think that just because a player has never been caught or accused, he must not have done steroids.

We have NO IDEA who did and who didn't, other than the guys named by Canseco and Mitchell. It's a joke to think that the steroid era is over. It's a joke to think that it started with Jose Canseco. In a May, 2005 interview, ex-pitcher and pitching coach Tom House stated that he had experimented with steriods during his playing days. He retired in 1978.

We are all ignorant on this topic, including the baseball writers who play God and decide who gets in and who doesn't.
