With Halloween fast approaching, I had made a comment to my wife that carving a Bengals pumpkin would be pretty neat. She did a Google search and found a site that had stencils for doing the Bengals tiger head logo. Just in case, here is what their logo looks like.

The site that has the stencils has them for every NFL team. The site is spookmaster.com. The stencils were available for purchase, but on their site it says that they no longer have an NFL license so they can no longer sell the stencils. That was a bit of a bummer. So I went to Google and was able to find a picture, save it, and then make my own stencil. Here is what it looks like on the spookmaster site.

After making my own stencil, I traced it on the pumpkin and was ready to go. Unfortunately, I did not think far enough ahead to take pictures as I was carving. I do have finished product pictures though. :D

After I finished carving, I looked at the Bengals logo and decided to add some color to my pumpkin. I know at night people won’t be able to see it, but during the day it looks pretty cool. Here is what my finished pumpkin looks like.

My wife and I then took it out on the patio. We put the candle in and lit it up and it looked cool! The first picture I took, I forgot to turn the flash off though. Here it is on our table on the patio with the flash.

Well done.

I did the Bears logo on one while I was in high school...but the "C" is pretty easy.

Joe, great work. Watch out it might get kicked in since you are in Indy now.

Deceptikon- Thank you. It was more work than I had originally thought.

Wheeler- Thank you. I have no artistic ability, so it was surprising that I could carve a pumpkin decently.

Mike- Thank you. I don't know that the words "easy" and "carving" ever belong in the same sentence. I bet your Bears pumpkin was sweet.

Tim- Thank you. The Steelers logo would definitely be difficult. I bet it would look killer though.

Magnet- Thank you. I think the color helps set off the orange.

George- Thank you. I'm going to keep it inside during the day. At night, I guess I need an alarm or something.

Art- Thank you. I am definitely pleased with the final product.

Awesome as well. I am pretty sure I could never do that. No knife skills here

Unfortunately my wife is a Texans/Bears fan. I like the Texans so we have at least that in common. And we also like to watch the Cowboys lose.

In any case...I was going to carve a Bears pumpkin for her. I am pretty decent at carving freehand with no stencil but I am getting burned out on doing the Texans every year. I wanted to do a Bear and not the "C" because I figured it would be more challenging. I was trying to look to see where you got this stencil but the damn computer hit a trojan. Any way you could share where you got the stencil from? I am not looking to use the stencil. I just need to see what they did because by looking at yours...I can't tell exactly.
