He signed like that for a while in 02 and 03.

But look at this one
[ebay:2oew582m]150537419353[/ebay:2oew582m]

That's probably from early on in the signing that day, the other is from later after getting tired of signing and hand cramps. Happens to plenty of athletes, Ali autos are good for the 1st 50 signed and go down hill after that.

is 35 dollars a good deal for the first one?

Yeah, that's a good price. It doesn't state in person or ttm at all? Do they have a scan of the back stating it's an auto?

From what I've seen, Rodriguez uses a few different autographs. His full signature is usually reserved for nice game used items (shown here on a game issued glove). There are a number of shorter versions, which are used when signing lesser items, and no doubt when he's tired/bored etc. Look at the COA for the above link for one example, then on this ball it's a bit shorter (drops the 'l' in Alex), and here it's shorter still. The last example is similar to the one on the Bowman Heritage card.

Another 2001 Heritage card with a slightly nicer auto just sold for $41 shipped. Based on that, $35 for yours seems reasonable.

Good to see! I didn't notice it at first, as it doesn't have "Heritage" in the title.
