What is his best card right now:

Red ink Topps Premiere or the just released Topps Chrome Gold Ref /10 auto.

Please let me know what you think, looking to pick something up of his before he gets on the field.

Is he slated to be good?I pulled his auto out of Topps Magic if I remember correctly.Shop owner said he hadn't heard much about him but if I remember correctly he was a 3rd round draft choice right?

In any case...not sure what the answer is to your question.

The best rookie or the best all out receiver.Sports illustrated hypes up Steve Smith pretty big.Not sure as I don't really watch the Giants all that much unless the game happens to be on.

I would take Domenic Hixon, Hakeem Nicks, & Ramses Barden over Steve Smith.

As for the OP, Ramses' best card so far is probably his Topps Chrome Superfractor Autograph or Donruss Elite Status Black Auto. Both 1/1s.

Thanks for the input.....I meant between those two cards....haven't seen the other two......why is his stuff selling so high?

Here is an example:

That seems awfully high for something that isn't #/25 or less, no?

Ridiculous prices lie in the bid history, my son.

The Gold Ref should beat out the red ink (which tend to soften quite a bit more than chrome down the line). But, investing money into any early release is usually a bad move, as the prices are always much higher than they will be when the better stuff is released. People fall for it every year. Even as Matt Ryan's season got better and better, his Topps Chrome autos continued to slide. Barden especially is not a guy to put the early, high prices into now, as he is likely more than a year or two away from significant output. I would say that any Barden card that is on the market right now, could be had for 1/3 the price in the off season.

I agree with Flight and if you get a Premier wait for one that is graded, they will pop up soon.
