Can anyone help me identify this card? It's from 1997 bowman but I can't find any additional information on the set. I'm guessing its a promo or pre-production and wondering how rare these are.

That is the first I have seen. Odd that Beckett does not list anything regarding a promo or pre-production set. My guess is they are probably extremely limited. Probably not meant for public release. It will be interesting to see if anyone else has some information to add.

They were issued to dealers nationwide and the hobby media.

Andruw is one of four. The others were: PP1 Jose Cruz Jr., PP3 Derek Jeter, and PP4 Sammy Sosa.

Edited: You can often find the more obscure issues in The Standard Catalog Of Baseball Cards. But I would pick-up the 2007 version (16th Edition). It's the last one edited by Bob Lemke and the last one that made any sense.

I was stunned by the amount of 90s inserts one of the dealers had today at a show today. I know the guy and talk to him, but it's rare that he ever has so much 90s. And I didn't have to buy them all because he took some dodger retired autos and game used in trade. :) I only scanned some of the nicer stuff.

While I would like to keep the ones above, I feel these may elicit some interest. I'll take pms, but they are pc. Just thought I'd rather share scans than hog them to myself:

Mondesi was one of my favorites as a kid. Got my first crusade ever too!

Didn't realize there was a version of these with a bat piece too!

I want to send a HUGE shout out to onionring and cobra.

Long story short, Joe, with Chad's help, went about adding a card to my collection that I've been after for awhile. Chad was gracious enough to go along with the deal and to ship out this beauty to me:
