I think that the Silver Coins were EXTREMELY hard to get!
I was able to get one, though, from Ebay and sent it in for grading.
Let me know what you guys think and, also, do you know the Odds of getting a silver coin in the packs?
1997 Pinnacle Mint Collection Coins Silver (my PSA 9 is shown. Coin is made out of pure silver)

oh, yeah, Joe, go ahead and use this pic for the master set!
I preferred the silvers from 98 since they came with a certificate... (97 and 98 shown)

i like the 98s better also but ive never seen either bagwell silver coins. did the 97 silver coins not come with a paper certificate of authenticity? in general the 97 silver coins seems more difficult to find than the 98s. does anyone have a solid gold coin. they issued redemptions for them and with the bankruptcy would any be floating out there????
also that is a sweet 1998 pinnacle mirror artist proofs 1/1. i have had the pudge and miguel tejada. both are in japan now and i wished i had saved the pics

Just bought the '98 solid silver coin of A-Rod. Coincidentally, the first time I have seen one. I'm sure I paid more than it would fetch at auction but like I said, never seen it before. Paid 70. But it's one of my many needs and you know how we player collectors are.

Good going!
Thanks for your post! I guess I can see how they are popular. But, I still don't understand how they have become so popular seemingly overnight. I don't think they were popular a year ago, were they?tonsofcommons said:You just haven't caught the bug yet trademhigh!
I think that it is the fact that it takes many of back to when the hobby was fun and the inserts were neat. very few GU and the diecut inserts and the nicely designed cards were most popular.
Then you have player collectors that may have just started collecting players that had some nice inserts in the 90s that have to go back to pick those up (thenumberonemetfan collecting Travis Lee, etc).
Just my thought.

Also, can you tell me if this card is worth anything? It's sort of like a diecut, but then again, it isn't. I'll try and find a scan on ebay, or scan tomorrow.
