"Rare" 90s inserts

Here's a tough one. The 1997 Score Stand and Delver GOLD. Beckett doesn't list it and there were only 225 redemptions available. No telling how many were redeemed.

I don't think these are rare, but i saw a griffey from this set in Laney's bucket, and liked the design so got the first star i could find. Very cheap, so probably not rare, but I really liked the design.

Wow, you must have a lot of hostility to bring up a rookie scan of Thome in the "90s inserts thread". I bet you took a lot of bruises being a bonds fan. But to answer your question, it's hard for me to put the possibility past any of the 80s 90s players, but if I were to, I would guess of the big stars that Thome, Jeter, Thomas, Griffey are all clean. Who knows. As far as size, there is more than one way to gain muscle and size, and I believe Thome did it the right way. I am sure if you look at ANY of the big hitters of the past, that they are a lot bigger in their later years than in their early 20's? Besides steroids, players work out and take protien. But, I wouldn't doubt that it is possible that all the players took steroids. 134 got caught, how many took steroids and didn't get caught? I think it was just the "thing to do" and I don't persecute anyone. When I went to highschool, I would guess over 50% of the students did pot (including myself)....Maybe it was wrong, but kids are young, they make mistakes...I don't think anyone deserves a life of condemnation over it. Barry's main problem was not coming clean. A lot of people didn't like him even before steroids, because of his attitude. People also don't like the idea of him taking records. If he were to admit his guilt, and quit before taking records, I think he would have been forgiven, and people may have even looked at him differently. I really don't think he would have amassed his numbers if not for steroids. He would have been great, but not the best, as his tainted record now shows.
