I think Brian should end these auction's early & without notice so that the before mentioned "watcher's whom countdown till day 29 then buy" cannot occur (which would make buyer's either pay up or shutup). Though this idea would potentially cost him some $$ from sells in the present (likely with the first go around of player's) because no one would be expecting it, and I think it would push those who were going to sit by on idle (until they see a card that might be SP'd in the closing day's & then pounce) to pounce immediately in fear that they may possibly miss out altogether! Just an idea as this- monitoring the amount sold & then strolling in & buying those which haven't sold many- is going to basically ensure that none of them are sp'd (at least not in the context to where it will make any difference on the secondary market). The only problem with the "ending early" plan (besides the fact that Brian may initially lose some sell's) is the conspiracy theorist's can have a feild day with the idea that Brian may give "notice" to a select few of his henchmen (& then we'll be buried in doo-doo thread's)!

Extremely shady idea, and not cool.

+1 on this, what brian needs to do is exactly what he said he'd do, let the auctions run their course then destroy the cards, anything else will be a departure from the plan and potentially screw those who have already bought or were going to buy.

"anything else will be a departure from the plan and potentially screw those who have already bought or were going to buy"

In consideration to those with Sig. Series, the "quoted" above didn't stop him when creating this product (Metal). I had written the idea as an alternative to those whom are "camping out" as it would allow for these to be somewhat limited; as opposed to what they are going to end up being (too many folks buying in at the last moment...let those that bought in early reap the benefit, instead of those whom are trying to manipulate the system/idea of it all). That's all I was saying...didn't know it would be labelled "Shady & not cool".

Except the concept of Metal was known for quite some time now, ever since Coastal first proposed it. Your idea is the difference between night and day.

Metal idea was public. Same design out there was 100% not the plan.

Are all the cards in hand and being shipped out now to the buyers who have ordered already? Will people be getting these in hand fairly soon. I really like this idea. Will be fun seeing what is left towards the final days of the auctions and see if any big orders go down late. Will be cool seeing the final order tally on each card.

Any chance some will hit ebay before the end of BG's auctions?
that would be odd :?

Not sure why anyone would do that.

I would pay more than $5 for a Gordon Beckham if Jaypers sold it rather than Brian because JP sends out extra freebies (denim auto cards)

Who needs eBay feedback when you have spare denim lying around? ;)

In case anyone in Canada wants to buy any, I asked about shipping and the reply I got from my ebay question was $14 total shipping no matter how many cards you purchase.

Anyone get them in hand yet? I was looking through some of the auctions yesterday, so far the highest total single purchase I've seen so far is 10 on a card. Anyone think we will get some people ordering up 50 or so on a single guy.

That's a little steep. If anyone would from Canada would like them for the cheapest postal rate to Canada plus cost, I'm sure someone would help, myself included.

I would help out to...

I think it is $14 because that is the cheapest way from the US to Canada with Delivery Confirmation

Wow... how many did you buy to get that kind of service? Mine shipped USPS around the 2nd so they should be here soon.

EDIT: Just looked up the tracking and my package should be in my mailbox when I get home.

Bought 10 ct. lots of five players, so 50.

If they're in mint condition I might buy more.

I hope I get my first order today!

I'll probably buy more of the base metals when the parallels hit.

I bought one of each so I could have a set.

If extra money comes by (After $200 Spokane Chiefs Playoff Tickets, New Hockey gear ($300), and new(used) truck ($3000)) then I will probably put $50-$100 into a few guys each- Wieters, Tim Beckham, Brett Lawrie, Pablo Sandoval
