Really, really bad trade offers in Diamond Topps

I wandered into the Diamond Topps site to see how to work out a transfer of a card I won on ebay, and saw the trade offers I had gotten, which I didn't know about till now. I have 3 non-common cards in my portfolio, a 1981 Mike Schmidt and 1979 Paul Molitor, plus a 2001 Rickey Henderson. In the real world these cards are worth about a buck or less, and I'll never redeem them unless it's free or something, but still, I can't believe the offers I've gotten. Four people want the Schmidt, and three want the Molitor. So far, the best offer I've gotten for the Schmidt I think is a 1994 Ken Hill. The Molitor at least has people in a similar decade. I'm not sure what's better, the 1980 Bob McClure or 1978 manager card. There's no harm in offering, and I suppose it makes sense on some level to let people have what they want since I have essentially no use for it, but if I was the one asking for the card I'd feel some sense of making a proper offer. I guess since you can only trade 1-for-1 people just do what they can with what they have.

Not too bad of a trade

The same guy keeps offering the same things EVERYDAY.

And it's STUPID like a 1999 common no-name for my Hank Aaron die-cut.

On the flip side - I have made really strong offers for some old Joe Adcock's to no avail.

Last September, I pulled a Strasburg "prize" card which was the key to free shipping. Some of the offers I received were fair -- some on the other hand --- I remember trying to explain to one under-18 poster why I would want "over-book" for the card since it was key for free shipping and the trade offer was 3 cards with the best card being a 1987 Barry Larkin.

And trying to explain to the young man why his offer was not even close - actually got him to take away his posts on FB --- he assumed that as a kid he would get his way.

But I always tried to trade over book to go older --- and ended up with 26 cards at the end of the year -- all with the Strasburg exception -- pre-1970 and all booking $10 or more. 20 of the 26 cards I ended up getting were vg or better and very collectible. The other six not so much.

Thus -- just remember -- lots of fair traders... but there are a few who will trade you a 10 cent card for your Die Cut Matusz

Trades don't have to be 1:1.

I just traded my Diamond Cut Mantle for a Diamond Cut Ruth (offered to me). When the codes first came out someone traded me a Diamond Cut Rivera for a 1973 common (if someone was doing me a favor, thank you, if someone thought that was a good trade, sorry).

For some reason I've had about 40, yes 40, offers for a 1975 Chris Chambliss from different people. I have no idea why.

If they were shipped for free it would be a much better deal but if they charge 50 cents each like the MCG that would be over $20 to ship.

I still want to work on a massive junk list by trading 1 crap card for 20 crap cards. Stuff that people would feel embarrassed by putting in a nickle box, just to see how many cards it would be possible to gather over the course of a year.

I've posted one trade on the first day of trading and it was accepted....Brian McCann Die-Cut for a Brett Anderson Black Diamond Die-Cut.

If the Black Diamond cards are truly "prize cards" and allow for free shipping, I've got no problem working something out for a couple people who are looking to ship a ton of cards. The reason I use "if" is because I haven't seen it in any sort of official sense from Topps.
