Honestly, I think you are a bit unreasonable in your logic about "Dinging" Shipping DSR's at $3.00 + , so I blocked you....

The only time you should ding someone on shipping price is if they refuse to combine shipping. When you purchased the item you were willing to pay the listed shipping price. Why act surprised and ding the seller if you agreed to it in the first place? If you feel like a sellers shipping price is unacceptable then don't purchase their items.

I too think that $3.00 is excessive for one card. Generally I will not bid if the shipping is that high, mostly on principle.
If I do bid on something with a shipping charge of $3.00, that means I am getting a heck of a deal on the card and just grin and bear it.

Soot you were purchasing a card valued at $100 you would rather pay $100 with free shipping than $80 with $15 shipping?

Am I the only one who thinks that people who go through and leave sellers feedback and DSRs for every item they buy are losers with nothing better to do than tell the internet how they feel? I work 50 hours a week, have a family, a house and yard to maintain, 3 dogs, 500+ ebay items to manage and I buy about 10-20 things a week on ebay. I don't think I've left a single seller a feedback since they went to the DSRs and it takes 5 clicks to leave 1 feedback. How do people who buy regularly on ebay have the time to leave that detailed feedback?? Do they find time between playing video games in their mom's basement and urinating in their empty mt. dew bottle? I'm just curious as to why people leave for sellers? I sell a ton on ebay and appreciate the positive feedback but could really careless if anyone does leave it for me. And as for leaving it for others, I have the auto feedback set for all my buyers so as soon as they pay they get a positive but why do people feel the need to leave feedback for sellers? Even if I had the time I have absolutely no desire to leave anyone feedback.

Umm it takes like 8 seconds to leave feedback unless you type like my grandma, and once you leave one it will give you the option of autofilling the others which are all listed on 1 page taking this time down to 2 whooping seconds per feedback . But dont let that interrupt possibly the oddest rant in the history of fcb. You may want to work on your moms basement/mountain dew material, its been a bit over used at this point.

Thanks Guy! You are super helpful! Now carry on with leaving your feedback! I hope you win the FCBer of the month!

Honestly, from what I've always understood, it's a business' job or even a business man's job to make money on every singe aspect they charge for. Even when you call a plumber, they don't just charge you for labor and their cost on the material. There is a markup on every single thing they do.

I will get pissed when a seller sends me a $50 or $100 card in a pwe or just sends things in a very haphazard way. But I let each situation dictate feedback . Yeah I don't like paying five bucks for shipping but if I want the damn card bad enough, I'll pay it.

Really wish buyers would understand that not everyone buys bubbles by the pallet & that not everyone sells enough to print out labels (cost effective).

Costs me over $3 to ship & I charge 2.50-2.75.

I rarely sell on ebay & when I do its stuff which would either only sell there (or sells best) or if a prospect blows up.

I'd rather be a loser that leaves feedback than a ******. You know how many feedback you could have left instead of typing that pointless rant out?

I leave feedback in bulk, perhaps once every six weeks. Today was feedback day and all positive with 5 stars...except for one.

A hard negative with threes and a 1 for shipping costs. No problem with the excessive rates I agreed to up front. No problem that mistakes happen. Huge problem in not crediting the postage due, and being a dick in messages. It was the seller's first negative and took them to 98%. I smiled.

Sent from a handheld, intergalactic communicator.

What bothers me most about people like you telling us what to charge is that you never consider time.
When i have 150 items end on a sunday night, i know im going to be printing labels monday morning
for 6-8 hrs. This is my business, I never play games, I never shill, I start everything cheap and ship all within
the one day. so if i make 40 cents charging 3 bucks, this is excessive? Plus 3 bucks is all i charge, 1 item or 50 items,
its just easier this way and i take some losses at times. I cannot believe you were dinging that many sellers,
you weren't trying to make a point, you were just being a jerk.

On the flip side to the OP, I got an email from eBay telling me they got rid of the low DSRs from people rating people low! So while it may suck for you, it is working out great for everyone who has been rated low by people who think shipping is high, but still buy the card anyway. If $2.50 is too high for you, stay away from my auctions.

The OP being a prospector just got himself blocked by hundreds of sellers for being stubborn and unrealistic. I charge 3.00 and drop ship same day or next day. I think how fast someone gets the package out should count. Of course I use multiple clean top loaders team bags. It amazes me that 3.00 s/h is still an issue. For the last time if buyers dont like to pay that rate then dont buy. Dont be that guy and ding them when their charge is up front.

At this point, we're beating a lukewarm horse. The OP says he has seen the errors in his ways and understands what he could have done better.

I, for one, didn't block him; however, I sell BIN with free shipping 99% of the time, so I avoid shipping price star dings altogether.
