Received one of my White Whales- Matt Holliday

Sorry for the crappy cell phone picts but its the best I can do right now. I was pretty nervous because A. Seller didn't show the back (I forgot about this auction as we just had our second child and thankfully I set a snipe) and B. It sold so cheaply.

I guess its a silly question but are each color 1/1's? This one I take it is yellow based on the Yellow triangle being larger than the others.

Yes its a rookie year plate of a RC. I didn't even realize they were made until I saw this auction. Funny thing is the guy who sold it is a local card show promoter and i have set up at his shows before.

It sold really cheap which is why I was relieved when I saw the back.

My snipe was set at $85. If I knew more about the card I probably would have hit it harder but I was unsure about it at the time I made the snipe.

That's one of those cards that would likely have done way better if it was a BIN/BO. It's a card that is so rare and so old that few people are probably actively looking for it, but printing plates from the 90's are so hard to find and Holliday is one of the better players in the game, so I am sure a decent number of people would have been interested in that card.

I agree but I am very happy I was able to find it for that price. It sold cheaper than every Triple Thread 1/1 out there and is infinitely cooler.

Yeah, I didn't want to brag about the price at first but since it was brought up I really couldn't believe it when I saw the email I won it for that amount.
