Been waiting for these to come back via my LCS. Jeter and Pujols were more to encapsulate them for posterity, wasn't overly worried about their grades. But the pen streaking must have killed my Pujols auto getting graded. The Stanton came in where I thought. Solid 9.

@Greg Cleveland love those Topps now slabs- great series of cards and those pop in the black holders !!

Knocking out some scan and registry catchups for the first time in 8 months
These three below required some label fixes ( the Topps 205 came back reversed) and the Rainier set had to be added to registry setups
Finally seems to be in order so will post them.

This 1989 MSA Rainier Farms disc set I had Becketts OPG staff get added after forever not being listed
Did it to help the McGwire registry guys out and posted in the Mac thread a while ago
Finally subbed my Clemens last year well after the set was added- only to see it not link to registry properly
Waited the last 9 months while they fixed the behind the scenes linkage stuff
Appears to finally be working

full.jpg

The 2003 Topps 205 set has 14 cards that Clemens was shown on. I did an inventory and believe I still need 4 of them and all of them are difficult to locate
Still need a Bazooka Red /5, Piedmont Purple , and two Triple folder combo cards with Posada with Brooklyn backs
The Purple is annoying because it looks like "light" black but with a sheen to it
I still need to slab my Relic and the Base card so I have most slabbed already
Clemens is not shown on an American Beauty, Cycle or Honest card

Years ago busted a box from my storage unit- back in 2018 - after 15 years of that box sitting there collecting dust
It was enjoyable to open and lots of fun stuff on the set also
2003 TOPPS 205 BOX BREAK

These two jumbos below are the label corrections that came back from BGS ( they had reversed labels- easy fix)
Added to my registry after sitting around for 8 months collecting dust here

Here is some info about the set 2003 TOPPS 205 SET INFO

I've included some Beckett Magazine info again along with pics of what I already had slabbed below
Also included their "By the Box " breakdown
These are the slabbed items so far - like I said need to get the Base and Relic cards slabbed and find those final 4 items

Amazing the stuff I am finding while cleaning up and trying to get organized and starting selling dupe Clemens stuff off
I'm going through slabs I subbed long ago looking for a card I know I should have already slabbed and is a dupe
Well- I found it buried. And then realized I've been sitting on this mislabeled item for 8 years now without realizing it
Thinking the whole time it was a dupe I needed to sell off

The Members Only stamping was there the whole time !!
Ah well better late then never finding it . At least now I can now take my dupe Raw versions and trade / sell em off

Bunch of loose slabs catching up for my inventory girl, who was VERY patient while my wife recovered
I promised and will follow through on scans for her
These could easily be in the 1990's or 2000's threads but why clog both up with my slab pics

The Black Diamond was annoying when I subbed it. You can see the result of my mistake below
Happens when you only spend 30 seconds looking at items before subbing them
Bought another one and hoped for the best
Turned out well and I can knock that one off the list now

I can tell you I am ALWAYS happy to see any Pacific item in Near Mint ( BGS 8.5) or better condition
Getting back a Die Cut Pacific item in the same shape I sent it in ? Priceless !!
The other 3 Pacific are loose slabs not really part of runs just base Pacific cards or inserts
The Checklists they created back then- those designs just pop

June of 2024 last year showed off some slabs from the 2001 FLEER PLATINUM set in this post PRIOR SLABS
Found another slab so I scanned for inventory girl
Honestly gotta locate all the cards and figure out what I still need
Fairly sure I need all the Duo Gold pieces # /25 but not much else

full.jpg

Back in this post from same time period I showed two base items for my inventory girl on this 2001 FLEER TRADITION set PRIOR SLABS

Found the rest of the base slabs and just havent scanned until now

Another two mislabels were returned from BGS recently from last year
These were blatant mislabel issues from someone unfamiliar with the series, which is quite easy to decipher IF you even know the slightest amount about the set at all
Original post of the labels was back in this post
MISLABELS 2004 EXHIBIT SET

Instead of the wrong 1921 American Leagure designation says the correct " 1921 "
And instead of saying wrong Stat Back says correct label of " No Stat Name Left " now

@Philip J. Fry love the Star Command Cosmic series stuff !! If I were to ever change my prefrences for ultra modern that Topps Chrome Cosmic series would probably be where I'd collect

Couple of Pacific items caught up for inventy girl and myself of course
I've had the Platinum Blue's slabbed since 2008 and just did the two Reds a couple years ago

Been trying to get piles of stuff thats sat here for several years scanned and resealed / back in storage
Also doing raw card inventory and starting to nail down some base items inventory and sell of dupes on COMC eventually
Scanning a few from 1996 Stadium Club Xtreme players series. Have a Gold somewhere I need to slab

I have my doubts on the BGS label of the Promo. Pulling out some Golds from storage. For now I'll just scan and set the slab aside for later
If it turns out its just the base card being mislabeled I'll get it fixed.

Yeah, the Star Command cards are nice in hand. Still need to get Rivera and Clemens since he’s a Yankee in that set.

Some more 10s from TAG, this time rookie cards plus a Bowman 1st.

Fun fact: the last two Dominguez cards, Bowman and Topps Chrome Black, are the exact same image. And we thought Panini was lazy with their pics!

Bunch more slabs scanned. I hand ripped the Pawtucket one - won't do that again as seems they punished it
Guess I'll need to use the straight razor separation method or a laser at the print shop. Good thing I have a dozen calendars left to try !! The Fleer Million Dollar Moments reminds me to take some Fleer stuff out of storage for scanning

Score in 1997- what a confusing mess of items that year had. Hobby Reserve, Private Stock, Regular , All-Star versions etc etc etc. Knocked two of them out scan wise and added an updated scan of my base card while I was at it
Forgot to leave the top up on the scanner and was too lazy to rescan it but I do like black background better than the clear
Gonna take some boxes outta storage and open them, and then combine with all my base / inserts sitting in boxes and get stuff outta the way. I swore years ago- maybe 2015- that I opened a Premium Stock box from storage here but can't locate the post

Also slabbed two more 1997 SPX the Base and Silver. Had the Bronze and Steel already done ( showing just to update scans for inventory girl). Need to locate my Gold and slab it

Wifes going for her latest spinal shots on April 10th so I gotta knock scans, slabs, and box openings out the next 10 days as thats 2 days I'll be busy monitoring her condition and unable to do much on those days off

It’s easy to look back now and see when Pinnacle had its downfall, but back in 1997 there was no way of knowing. As you said, Score was all over the place and then Pinnacle introduced “New Pinnacle” to go with the regular Pinnacle release.

Then there was Pinnacle Certified (chrome-like set) and then Pinnacle Totally Certified (all Dufex and all cards were serial numbered), Select was more of a super premium brand, etc.

And let’s not forget that Pinnacle bought Donruss in 1996.

Sigh. Nice scans!

That PawSox perforated is an interesting one.i dont grade, but i remember thinking as I carefully ripped 3 or 4, how fussy would a grader would be?. I feel like my final selection of one to keep looks about like yours. To me, if it was submitted with straight cut edges, is it the right size? The edges have to be perforated to be the way it was. No? There is an alternate copy that came smaller and with straightedges from McCoy, but its a different card, different sizing & with out a logo, the Providence Journal one I think..... or maybe Dunkin? Have to look.....
