He should have chucked it on the field. Hell, security was going to get it anyway. He'd probably get arrested and charged with attempt to injure with a deadly weapon though ::facepalm::

If a Yankee wins MVP this year, is it Jeter or Tex? It will be close I bet, and they may take votes away from each other. But then again, the same may happen with Mauer/Morneau.

Why didnt the Sox use Bowden or some other call up yesterday vs Jays and start Lester today so we'd have 2 real pitchers starting vs Yanks 1,2,3 starters. Beckett, Lester, and Tazawa at least we had a chance at 2 out of three

Because then you have Lester pitching on a non regular schedule of rest. The games against the Yanks are no more important than anyone else right now. The division is over.

You have no chance of winning at all, no matter who you threw out there!!! You could throw CY Young out there and still lose. Your the Redsox, start getting use to it. :D :D :D :D

Whoa easy there. I'm a Yankee fan, but even I recognize how unrealistic that statement is. Let's not get carried away here. The Yankees are 4-8 Vs. the Red Sox this year. Sure they've won 4 in a row and they are about to win again, but the Red Sox offense is very capable of an offensive explosion like this.

THe only problem is the yankees have pitching.

The sox think their offense has come back to life then they face the yankees, (who have pitching btw) amd they get shut down.

The Sox haven't had a hard time beating last place team.

Man this stinks. I just got home as the Yankees made it 12-1
Though I have to admit, even though the Toronto series was great, I didn't have high expectations due to the starting pitchers......If i never see Penny pitch again - that'd be fine by me and I can't really rip on Tazawa, b/c i honestly think it's almost unfair for them to have thrown him into the position he's in with virtually no professional experience....here's hoping he pitches the game of his life tomorrow.

The sad thing is the Red Sox will probably score 8 runs tonight, and it won't even be close to enough because of the horrible starting pitching.

Uhh..The pitching that Boston just faced in Toronto is better than what the Yankees can throw out there..

WOW, I really hope you are joking.

Sabathia, Burnett and Pettitte, have been great since the All Star Break, Joba has been pitching well, and the 5th man is a toss up, but Gaudin pitched much better then Penny, or Bowden tonight, and Smoltz any game this season. Hell Gaudin pitched better then Beckett his last start.

The Yankees bullpen is better then the sox with Aceves, Coke, Hughes, and Mariano. Even Robertson has been good.

If the Yankees pitching is so bad how did you go 33 innings without scoring a run against them?

Ok, now I want to see how you think the Yankees pitching is much worse then the bluejays.

Please tell.

Pettite pitched poorly today. He was saved by the offense, though :D
