Every year I get my hopes up. Same result since 1991. I know its only one game but you can see what a real team looks like in the Cardinals.

I share your despair, it would be nice to have a good baseball team but you definitely can't complain about the weather today which made it the loss a little easier to take.

They are looking like a bust out team in 2011 to me-with a rotation of Cueto, Volquez, Chapman, Leake, and Homer Bailey. That is a pretty nice rotation, with nice upside. Add to it the likes of Votto, Bruce, Brandon Phillips, and you have a nice core of talent. I could see them surprising some people this year, but I really expect them to compete in 2011.

What has Bruce done? Bat 219. Votto has yet to complete a full season with injuries. Yes, rotation looks good on paper but two of the pitchers have had injuries and the other three are still unproven and developing. With the Reds its always next year. I was always next year with Kearns and Dunn. Didnt happen.

As you can see I kinda disagree.
1B-Votto top 5 player at position

Yep, something there's a bit of a stretch, all right.
