Again to defend myself, I have nothing left to say , if said it all

but is the case of my friend, if it will all my make you feel better than I will

And first off, I know no one have a perfect like and everyone has their struggles but this was one that happened to a friend.

here we go...
(We just turned 20) a friend that I have had since I was very little who is college near me and everything is going great. shes on the honors program with a scholarship and a 3.7 GPA. She works on the weekends during school and in the summer works 66 hours a week to help pay for help. She lives with her mother and father, mother doesn't work, father is a contractor and they get by. After 20-something years of marriage the dad says i'm having an affair and that he is leave. Leaving the family (also a brother in college) with no income at all to live on.

She was forced to not continue going to college. This is the nicest person I have ever met in my life and she did now deserve this. I went through half of my savings and tried to get through every baseball card I could just to get her through one more yet of college. Its funny how when a situation like this happens a baseball card you used to cherish just looks like a piece of cardboard. I tried to sell what I could on here. Did not right a SINGLE person off. Ask anyone i dealt with that I was a polite as I could be.

There... I made up NO story about a friend. I legitimately was trying to help

All I'm saying is I love how Rob completely gets off the hook for shilling while everyone is on TheGamesBest's case for doing the exact same thing. If people are not mad at Rob for shilling, why is everyone so up in arms over this? Its ridiculous.

Whats ridiculous is you jumping in topics with no real intention but to go against the grain. Care to explain how one could be mad or show it when the person never returned? Are we supposed to jump in ever shill topic and list the others who did it in the past?

Stop screaming for attention.

Why even try and justify stuff? People have obviously made up their mind and they'll just keep up the pointless nagging. All you're doing is feeding the beast.

Dealing with people on the internet isn't like dealing with humans. I still think it's lame as hell that people get so pissed off when someone shills an auction. If I see my neighbour smokin' a doobie, I don't call the cops. If I think someone's shilling an auction, I don't bid.

Either way, justifying whatever actions you've made to a bunch of pissy interneters definitely isn't the answer.

I was just justifying any action because I'm still standing by my actions. I only wrote the response to the because above in the thread someone said they were jumping on me for making up a story about my friend and that I should tell the story... so I did

If you stand behind your actions, you shouldn't need to justify them. Anyways, what i'm trying to say is that regardless of what you say or have said, it won't change a thing. It'll only serve to further incite a bunch of complaining. People love witch-hunts and the outcome's always the same: If the witch floats, she's a witch! if she sinks and dies, nothing we can do now!

I already posted a thread saying I don't care enough to argue with any of you about this, so it should be even. This is all just continuous drama. And I don't care, except for that situation with the friend because I do take that personally offensive because that is a major problem right now. That should play no factor into any of this.

And to round up this topic.

Karma dont effect people who shill their auctions, but it works for them.

+1

And whose to say "Nobody was mad at Rob?", i know a number of people where. Also Miggy, Rob did NOT "Get off the hook", he is no longer a moderator here and no longer posts here either (as well as ruining his reputation), i would hardly call that "completely getting off the hook".

I still think it's funny that you paid $3200 for the Heathcott Super.

So I like Slade Heathcott and have a lot of money? Who are you to judge?

I hope my account is gone before I got my irrelevant criticism

Hopefully your dad's not Ian Stewart because I've heard he swings and misses almost a third of the time.

Pigskin someone smoking a bone on their own porch isn't hurting anyone else. Its their buisness and no one elses. Shilling is, at the basic level, stealing.

Its lying, cheating, and stealing from people.

F this guy.

Look, bottom line is that if you wanted to help your friend you were going to have to take a loss on your cards. Period. You may have some nice cards but if you way overpaid for them, well, you most likely are not going to find someone in a short amount of time who will pay close to what you have invested. Bidding on your own auctions is obviously immoral among all of the other things others have mentioned. There is never a reason to shill an auction. If you don't want to sell for less than a certain price then you should never list the card for less than that amount. Now you have lost all credibilty in the best community on the Internet for this hobby. You need to admit your wrongdoing and beg for forgiveness.

I also don't see a father abandoning his children the way you say your friend's did after 20 years. Instead of selling your cards, you should have walked your ass over to his place and kicked his teeth in if it is as bad of a situation as you make it out to be.

I really just don't see why selling your cards was pertinent in this matter at all. If your friend is so smart, I would assume that she would understand the process of obtaining a student loan or a regular loan at that. This whole thing makes no sense to me. I mean really, they still offer credit cards. I know the economy isn't great but a few years ago when I was in school, they had all kinds of credit cards for students being offered all around campus. There are plenty of ways to get money. Sounds really odd to me that this is the path you chose.

I'm not saying that I have a personal problem with you but not only does everything surrounding your sales seem strange but shill bidding is appalling and the evidence is rock solid that you participated in said act.
