Cleveland is doing a sign and trade with Lebron so they can get draft pick compensation. I get that. I've read up on sign and trade deals and don't get something. As far as I can tell, Lebron signs a contract with the Cavs and then is traded to the Heat.
What if Cleveland signs him then refuses to trade him? He technically signed a legally binding contract. What happens then?
I know this sounds preposterous, but Dan Gilbert sounds like a sociopath. I'd put nothing past him at this point, even if he were to put out a hit on Lebron
