I hope they don't reprint McGwire because as of now, there is actually the possibility of collecting all his cards. If they start printing his cards again, the dream will be gone!

Actually, I think it's not that good of a point because with the number of 1/1s Big Mac has there is no possibility of collecting them all as it is.

would somebody please make an auto of chuck finley and mark langston...a dual would be sweet :)

I agree, how bout a cut auto of Lyman Bostock (sp).

Yes! While a cut auto would be amazing, I know I could never afford it. How about a Bostock bat/jersey card?

Others I would like to see more of:

Jim Fregosi
Denny McLain jersey card (don't believe there is a single gu card of Denny out there)
As Halonut said, Chuck Finley needs to have some autos

I'd think it would be pretty obvious what my answer would be. And I'm not talking about worthless crap like this either.

I'd definitely pick up a Langston auto.
Probably Chuck Finley, too, just for the "Burn Notice" appeal (it's Bruce Campbell's fake name almost every week).

maybe we should combine this list and petition to the card companies... :)

Don't you dare!!!!!!

"To all card companies....we do not want any more Bagwell items released(nudges jacob in his side as he's saying this)!" ;) :)

Seriously though...I have no need for new Bagwell cards. There are still way too many out there I don't have and while Therion makes a good point...I sleep better at night at least dreaming I can possibly have them all.But if they start releasing new stuff....that dream is gone.Especially now where everything is numbered really low.Plus if its a sort of high end release...that would really blow.

I am content with whats out there now.

I would like to see a few of more cards of the 84 Tigers. It seems like everything is Jack Morris, Alan Trammell, or Kirk Gibson. It would be nice to see a few more Lou Whitaker, Lance Parrish, and Willie Hernandez cards.

Jose Rijo. Dominant pitcher, all-star, World Series MVP, current front office exec (with the Nationals) yet he has exactly one post-career card, a 2002 World Series card from UD that was issued while he was actually making his comeback. C'mon, somebody give me a Rijo certified auto or something!

Yes, I'm a Rijo supercollector (though most people dont know me on this board; I did post on the BMB board occasionally). If anyone has any rare cards of him (or occasionally, not so rare), or Bronson Arroyo, help me out!

Thanks

Todd

When your primay goal is all cards not including 1/1's and your secondary goal is to collect as many 1/1's, then it is!

I have given up the dream of finding every bagwell... I think it would just be cool to see him in new products, and almost given the credit he deserves. Outside of Biggio, i think Bagwell is one of the most underrated players around (this helps from a collecting standpoint :) ) I would enjoy seeing the cards, more than i would actually trying to pick them up. But, i do see your point, he has plenty as it is...

Okay...I'll admit it...I too would like to see some of them but honestly...the current sets are not very much to my liking.I'd hate to have to go chasing a bunch of fugly cards just to have them.Sadly...I would do it too.Stupid card companies. :( :(

I think it would be okay if they released in mid to low end stuff but I seriously would dread having to go and fight over brand new 1/1 auto patches when there are already a ton out there.I would like to see him in other sets.Maybe some mid level insert sets and some decent looking base sets. That would be pretty cool.I just have enough on my plate without having the desire to go after cards that will cost me a bundle.I am sure you know yourself that Bagwell has not cheapened very much either. His stuff still commands some $$$.

That is why my goal is to gather as much as i can before he enters the HOF... imagine the price jumps after that...

I do agree with you, some mid/low level stuff would be great... it may be just enough for me to start busting a few back again.
