I would like to see some Dodgers from the 1970's. Russell, Yeager, Lopes, Cey, Baker, Monday, Reuss, Sutton, Wills, Garvey, Mota, Osteen, Buckner, Hough, Ferguson, Bobby Valentine, Tommy John, Doug Rau, Ron Perranoski, Messersmith, Zahn... many more.

How about a game used subset of current managers who were formerly players. Not current manager uniforms though. Relics from their playing days or dual GU. Then/Now Game Used cards. That would be cool.

I love 2002 Topps Coaches' Collection cards. I think the GU items are from the managerial days, but they are very cool cards.

maybe we should combine this list and petition to the card companies... :)

Don't you dare!!!!!!

"To all card companies....we do not want any more Bagwell items released(nudges jacob in his side as he's saying this)!" ;) :)

Seriously though...I have no need for new Bagwell cards. There are still way too many out there I don't have and while Therion makes a good point...I sleep better at night at least dreaming I can possibly have them all.But if they start releasing new stuff....that dream is gone.Especially now where everything is numbered really low.Plus if its a sort of high end release...that would really blow.

I am content with whats out there now.

I have given up the dream of finding every bagwell... I think it would just be cool to see him in new products, and almost given the credit he deserves. Outside of Biggio, i think Bagwell is one of the most underrated players around (this helps from a collecting standpoint :) ) I would enjoy seeing the cards, more than i would actually trying to pick them up. But, i do see your point, he has plenty as it is...

I am sure you know yourself that Bagwell has not cheapened very much either. His stuff still commands some $$$.

That is why my goal is to gather as much as i can before he enters the HOF... imagine the price jumps after that...

I do agree with you, some mid/low level stuff would be great... it may be just enough for me to start busting a few back again.

Only problem with that is...he may not enter the hall of fame.I suspect in the next 5 or 10 years we will really see what the baseball writers and HOF voters really think about all of this steroid mumbo jumbo.Am I saying Bags took any for a fact? No.But I suspect he may have at one time. But I cannot say that for a fact.Hopefully the voters can understand this as well because I suspect your going to see few and far in between when it comes to players who played during the 90's getting in.Especially if they were big beefy guys who absolutely killed the ball.Their careers may be tainted just because of that era despite there being no proof of anything being done.Who knows.

i try to block out all the talk of bagwell possibly being on that list of steroid users... :)

It just doesn't seem likely to me with how much he advocated not using chewing tobacco, and such. I understand that he may get grouped in with all the others of the 90's, which is a shame.

Now, i can say for sure that Biggio never took steroids, or my guy jason tyner (2 career homeruns)

Honestly, more than who cards are picturing, I want a change in how they are pictured.

With every game being captured on video are you honestly telling me the best you could get of some players was them posing for the team picture?

I want better photography.

Biggio has been mentioned as well.Even by local radio show hosts.I don't think much of it but hey...whatever.

As for Therion's point...yep...I could see where they could get some better pics than they have. They always have some good pics for the world series but for the regular season it seems they are a little gun shy with the camera when it comes to taking really good pics these days.

Exactly. It's not like photo archives aren't hard to come by.

All these names looks ripe for a retired player edition of something similar to 1996 Leaf Signature series. About 2 autos for $15-18.
