What an exciting weekend on ebay, tons of great Rickeys brought to us by rickeyh2435. Who is that guy? He sounds soooo familiar... :lol:

I read this little story in his 96 Topps Gallery Players Private Issue auction...

Serial Numbered 954/1000 (Actual only 500 exist)

100 were given to the players

400 were destroyed

Is that true? I'd never heard it before...

First off, I'd never heard the PPI story, but it is interesting.

Secondly, who's rickeyh2435?? Is it one of you guys? If so, I feel a little stupid and out of the loop, lol!

I received an e-mail today from a guy that I talked with through the blog a couple of times (his name is Jamie), and it turns out he's decided to part with his collection, and these are his auctions. He sent me pictures a while back of some of his collection, and aside from cards, he's got a lot of great oddball stuff as well.

I received an e-mail today from a guy that I talked with through the blog a couple of times (his name is Jamie), and it turns out he's decided to part with his collection, and these are his auctions. He sent me pictures a while back of some of his collection, and aside from cards, he's got a lot of great oddball stuff as well.

You should invite him here! He can rid himself of unwanted Rickeys with little to no fees involved...

It clearly not curly enough to be a ****. But that's a great idea...."Premium Pubes" from celebrities and athletes and figures of importance. Jennifer Aniston's brown fuzzies. Kareem Abdul Jabbar's short and curlys. The Platinum parallel editions come with a scratch and sniff that contains scents of the superstar's private area. (did I take that too far? :shock: ) We could be rich....if we could only convince celebs to pluck/cut a few and send to us.

Ken, can you post the pics of those two Yankee mugs? I'm most curious in the Energizer version.

Well, I've been trying not to buy any cards and succeeding quite nicely! I keep getting outbid on every #24 and not bidding on other stuff. I had to splurge when I saw this though:

I put in a big enough snipe to win this one. It went for $1.25!

I think that list is outdated... maybe? The scan shows 13 cards, and #0001/1295 doesn't seem to be one of them. So this could be #14 I'm adding. I did the scan on the work copy machine scanner because I thought it would be awesome, but... it wasn't.

This is a very addicting hobby. Sometimes I consider myself completely finished with collecting. Of course sometimes I see a card, like that Jennings, and I have to have it. Unless Burbank lists it. Another card I like to try to get all of, the Jennings 03 Leaf Certified Red auto #/15, popped up on ebay. I won't be able to win it for $1.25 though, burbank has it at $50! :shock: Sadly, there are only about 3 Jennings cards on earth that are worth that much. And this one is more in the $1.25 range. Ah well...

And then there's this card I've been watching for months, but I'm just too cheap!
