Hey hendersonfan, where in IA are you located?

Iowa City. A bunch of my friends are coming out next August to hit up Field of Dreams.

That would be awesome! But wow, Iowa City is like 5 hours from Omaha, and what a boring road trip....

Ryan,

the #24 cards are nice for me but i can live without them if you are interested in these too (perhaps you have the same card in a different number, you could include a minor card of his too that is not worth much but what i need)

1999 Pacific Revolution Red 24/299 (i actually got this in a pack myself, crazy!)
2000 Pacific Private Stock Premiere Date 24/34

Can't believe I missed this post!? That's an amazing story, you pulled that 24/299. I could never... bad luck and all. I once pulled a CC Sabathia Topps Gold card #/2008 (I think, or 2007 or 2006....) That is about the only non base card I've pulled of any of the players I collect. Kinda like my best pull ever!

I don't have either of those cards to trade, but it's not that big of a deal. I mean, if we can't work something out, I won't die or anything. If there was a 2004 Donruss Classics, I would be having a seizure, but... I'll survive this.

We should try to work something out someday though, so you can get some of these (from my post on page 90)

First I have to do that trade with Brad. I'm sorry Brad.

Field of Dreams is Dyersville, Iowa unless you are referring to driving from Omaha.

Hendersonfan- Any interest in going to the national in August? Leaving Friday Night, coming back Sunday night?

Looking for someone to share gas and lodging cost.

Oh yeah Scott, I forgot to mention, I am less than 105 years old. I feel 105, because of that damn ba... oh wait! hehe... just kidding, I mean... how's the pregnancy coming along? I asked back on page 92, but you never answered! I don't know if it's because we have so many posts in this thread now that they are getting easier to miss, or if it's because I asked "How's the zygote coming alone?" which may not have been comprehensible.

Thanks for asking Ryan. So far so good with the little zygote. We're in the process of clearing out the room to get the crib and other furniture in there. That's when I came across the Rickey plate and SLU. The plate does not have the ceramic piece that could be glued back in. It was in complete crumbles, beyond repair. The SLU inside the box seems fine to me...just the box got mangled. If you want me to get you a shipping quote, let me know. But....they aint going to be able to hang around long...I'll give you until the end of June to decide. Then they're gonna hit the garbage.

Ken, man, sucks about the car, but glad to hear everyone is OK. I've lived through one of those...not fun.

And, since I'm eating it now....I highly recommend "Hannah Teter's Maple Blondie" ice cream by Ben & Jerrys. I don't think I've ever had another flavor like it. Delicious.

I was thinking about possibly going, but not sure. If I do go, I would probably stay with my cousin outside of Chicago. Haven't really mentioned it or anything to the woman.

Yeah, yeah, heard that one before ;) I've actually been away for a week or so, and my son is now sick, so I haven't spent much time on the boards lately. Trying to catch up with everything.

Ken, sucks about the car, but glad all is well. On the plus side, you did get the Rickey Sterlings, and not some random "equal" replacement determined by Topps!

I know I know, I'm terrible. I had a night without Renée last night, and Becky was supposed to work. It was going to be my big night, I was going to work on a couple trades and try to update the 24 Museum. Instead Becky got her shift covered, and I ended up moving rocks for most of the night. Crack that whip! The good news is, the yard remodel project is 98% done!

I have heard that one before.

Latest on car: totaled. I loved my Avalanche and am very bummed about this. Good thing Insurance covered the rest of payments, so I at least dont have to pay anything for a truck I dont have. Now I must find a new ride. Any suggestions? Must be a truck 4 doors.

A sad moment, and something tough for me to do....but I'm throwing this out. It has some damage from shipping (I did actually get my claim fulfilled by the USPS). So, if anyone wants it...just pay me the shipping and I'll send it to you. Otherwise its going in the garbage, and then there will only be 1989 of them in existence, thus increasing the value of the other one I have ;) (and no I don't have the original box)

P1010305.jpg

I also have this item which was damaged in the same shipping fiasco. The SLU inside is unbroken and in OK condition as far as I can tell. But the box is veritably ruined. If anyone wants it, let me know....but only if you are less than 105 years old (according to the box, you could have had it in your younger days, like when you were 102...but not now that your 105  ). Otherwise, I'm going to chuck it too.

How much do you need for shipping?

Working on clearing off a bookcase and taking it downstairs. If I can ever get it done I'll unpack the bobbleheads and figures and post up a picture.

I may have posted this before, I don't know for sure. This was my senior art project in high school. I rushed so of the stands and should have taken more time. Regardless I was pleased with the results. This is on canvas too.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY GUYS.

Hendersonfan, I like the painting. Very cool. I have a pencil drawing my cousin did for me and had Rickey sign it. You should have him sign it someday.

Unpacked some cards and took some photos.

Rookie goodness. 1 is reprint, what are some signs of fake? Some of these are nice and might possibly submit for grading.

Close up on bottom left, who knows more about it? From 2001 Topps Archives is all I know.

Now for the *******. These are either the complete (or close to complete) set or base and parallell.

At the friendly advice of a couple of members here, I am posting this Henderson card I just received. Looking to sell for $25 dlvd or would trade it for a Nolan Ryan from the same set.

Def interested. If you still have it in a few months (after my wedding) I'll pick it up. Otherwise I'll try to grab one from someone else.

So I might be interested in submitting a rookie or two to PSA. What all is entailed? Can you request minimum grade or authentic? How much does it cost?
