I think this is fake, too good to be true for something /100, what do you think?

I would have voted real, at least for the bottom patch for sure, but Brian's superb knowledge of Rickey jerseys has me swayed to the fake side.

Brad, awesome 1976 items. It was a great year! :D

I also was curious about the Tobacco Classics card. Too funny that it has a no smoking symbol on the back.

Brian, great questions and ponderations. I have no idea about the answer to your question.

Just picked this up from Burbank for $11...

03_Throwback_Padres.jpg

It was listed without a picture in typical Burbank style, which actually helped me for once. They had used the stock Beckett description in the title, but had added "Patch" to the detailed text. Not bad for a card #/250, this would be a #1/1 these days, lol!

That card looks legit and the seller is a member here.. Brett Keith..

The top patch isn't right. Donruss usually did a superb job of showing what jersey was used for the card and shows it on the back. The patch doesn't fit the jersey shown, they are 10 years apart. They could have used a different jersey, but it is not from the one shown. It could be real, but I don't think it is. Not saying the seller is a scammer or anything either. Some people buy cards not knowing if they are fake or not. If I had to give an "expert" opinion I would say fake. I wish there was a database that we could track what cards looked like when they came from the factory.

So after losing out on 2 of the 91 7-11 Slurpee coins I still needed I did BIN on another. After I clicked BIN I was thinking that I did so too fast as I thought I already had it. Luckily it was only $1.40 with free shipping. It came today and it was in fact one I needed. Now I have A5 (HS), NE7 (RL). Then I got really bummed that I was so close to having the other 2 and finally marking these 4 as complete on my list.

I still need NC7 (HG) and NW7 (SM) if anyone has extras lying around.

Since I don't really have that much time for ebay, that one snuck right past me. I looked it up though, and wow!!! [ebay:36ryos0v]150644586613[/ebay:36ryos0v] I got really sad when I thought it was the 1/1, it MUST be at that price. I have two of the other 1/1's from the set and have always dreamed of getting that Canseco Emerald. I also need the Brock, but I have an emerald with Brock and Carew. And the Gwynn 1/1. I realized it was just #/22, and thought *whew*. But THEN I thought, "Holy Crap I can't imagine how much the 1/1 would go for."

I have #8/22, maybe I should throw it up on ebay for like $175 BIN/BO. But then I wouldn't be able to complete the set! I only need the Gwynn #/22 and the two emeralds...

Coulda sworn I had a picture of the 2 emeralds I have, but cannot find it now.
