I have 13 of his 1980 Topps rookies (if anyone wants one in a trade, let me know), a 77 Modesto, as well as the 79 Ogden A's.

Impressive rant there Larry. I'm on board with everything you said. And I'd vote for you for President....why not.

Hey, I'd be a great president. Problem is I think most, if not all politicians are slimy little bastages, and it doesn't matter what party they represent, they only serve themselves. I would go back to representing the people, since, you know, it is the whole idea in the first place! Don't make me get out the soap box! Suffice it to say, I will never be president because I have morals and old school beliefs that can't be bought off. Not even with a Rickey 1/1! Although, Henderson as the presidential cabinet member on physical education and health (the next C. Everett Coop?) would be cool! Imagine the speeches! Man, that would be a great four years!

"Rickey says that Rickey wants all of you to do 50 pushups like Rickey does!" This would be to the house of representatives, not to our children!

My thoughts exactly. I had Henderson Party, but the 3 P's had a nice ring to it.

Just got this magazine in, which has one of the nicest covers of any I own.

Vol-14-3.jpg

I'd like to someday get this signed by both

Having it signed by both would be awesome! Love the "Thunder and Lightning" on the bottom. So true!

Hope everybody is having a fun day. I'm sitting here waiting for everybody to wake up, it's really boring. Sigh. :geek:

With a 2-year old, waiting for him to get up was not a problem :) Hope everyone had a great Christmas!!

Hope everyone got what they wanted for Hendersonmas, and to all a wonderful and prosperous new year. 2010 pretty much blew. Here's to 2011 being a dang sight better. ;)

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas, and Happy (belated) Birthday Rickey!!! I hope everyone sent him a present (to sign and return in the mail to you  ) I also sent a Xmas present to Topps.....it was a few different pictures of Rickey to use on their future cards since it appears as if they sold off the rest of them via the "Topps Vault".

Is that a 99 Pacific Aurora Red Rickey shown above? That's a nice card. Whaddya want for it?

Also, here's a card serial numbered out of #/50 for a decent BIN price if someone doesn't have it and wants to pick it up.

Happy New Year everybody! I hope everybody had a fabulous Christmas. I had lots of fun, and put together many toys for the lil' one. It was a blast! She got spoiled rotten, and I got a couple movies and some boxers and sleep bottoms. And yet somehow, it was my best Christmas ever.

I got 2 Steve King movies, Sleepwalkers and The Mist. I'm sure nobody has seem the Mist but man what an ending. Blew me away, lol.

Here you go TBP. I would give these up because I need money way more than PSA Rickeys. Not even sure how I accumulated this many since I don't give 2 Hershey's squirts for 'em, but here's the list:

1981 Donruss 119 (PSA 9 (OC))
1983 Donruss 35 (PSA 9)
1983 Fleer 519 (PSA 9)
1984 O-Pee-Chee 230 (PSA 8)
1985 Topps Tiffany 115 (PSA 8)
1987 Classic Game 12 (PSA 8)
1990 Topps Tiffany 7 (PSA 10)

precious to me (cost me a lot)
1984 All-Star Game Program Inserts 143 (PSA 10)

Hopefully one of you snagged that #/50. And wished Rickey a Happy Birthday.

Anyway, just wanted to chime in and wish everyone a happy new year. I just celebrated a new milestone.....I crossed the 3700 number (getting ever closer to 4000!!). I now have over 3700 different Rickey items, almost 7500 total. Pretty cool. :D

I also just got a new job. After 10 years with the same company and being fairly stable and comfortable (albeit hectic and stressful), I am taking a new position with a different company. Less travel, and hopefully a little less hours/toil. Which means I'll be a little more responsive to trade offers (sorry Ken...I know I've been a big ****** recently :ugeek: ). But January will be a little stressful for me with the switch, but I'll try my best to work stuff out for trades.

And....its not like me, but I went big on a few items (risky with a job switch, but you only live once). So I thought I'd share some of my new scores:

2005 Playoff Absolute Memorabilia TOTT #TT-170 Prime Red Six Swatch (2 of 5)

2010 Topps Triple Threads Sapphire #93 (#/25)

and....also some other fun (and potentially cheap) cards to chase with Rickey on them:
**1996 Bowman (and Bowman Foil) #71 Tony Gwynn (Rickey is seen in the background in the dugout)
**1988 Topps Big #19 Scott Fletcher (Rickey seen on front)
**2004 Topps #652 (regular, 1st Edition, Gold) Dodgers Team Photo with Rickey on the left side)
**2003 Upper Deck MVP (regular, silver, gold) #61 Brandon Phillips (Rickey seen on front)

Sweet TOTT card there Leffer! Love the shoe and hat bits. I am going to use your list of guest appearances to add to my little collection. See if I can find them. Love the Sapphire card as well. Always liked the gem named cards - ruby, emerald etc.
