WTF!

So because Shwartz challenged the play and got a penalty they can't actually challenge the play.

Are the replacement refs back?

Ya, I guess I just hadn't seen that this year. He should have been whistled down long before the TD anyways

Texans pull off another one. But yeah, that Forsett play was weird. I don't understand why it was considered unsportsmanlike conduct. Maybe just ignorance, but not unsportsmanlike conduct. Though I've only seen it replayed once as I was in the car when it happened, I didn't see his knee down. I'd sure like to get a better look.

Mike Smith of the Falcons had the same thing called on him last week in the Cardinals game. I still don't understand the call.

In my opinion, that's such a pointless rule when the result of the play is a touchdown, since touchdowns are reviewed anyway.

Logically, if you throw the flag when you can't challenge a play, it makes sense that you wouldn't be able to benefit from a challenge. And sure, give him the 15 yard penalty...but when the play is to be reviewed anyway (e.g., a touchdown), why should a coach's ignorance cancel out the automatic rule of present-day football that all touchdowns are reviewed?

It's too bad that it happened on such an obviously blown call, but regardless of individual game situations, the rule seems to employ an awfully harsh penalty for simply wanting to challenge a play that was already going to be challenged.

Oh my Cowboys, been discussed before but I'd trade them RIvers/Norv for Romo/Garrett in a heartbeat.

Skins blowing out the cowboys and then I step away from the tv. Return to see the redskins trying their damnedest to lose the game.

I bought a box of '11 UD Legends from DA. I haven't busted a box since I was in Vegas 2 years ago.

With your luck it probably has a Tony Dorsett and Dan Marino signed brick of Platinum

Saw one guy today pull better stuff out of his "Black Friday" packs than his Certified Materials box...

In the BF packs, got a Luck and RG3 plate, a ton of RG3 base and inserts and a ton of very cool basketball GU. In the LCM box, he got two no-name rookies and a nice GU patch, but not good enough for me to remember who it was.

What a beating for Gene Chizik to go out on, Yikes!

"The Campaign" and then USC-ND, good nite at the home front. Worked 70ish hours this week, could use the rest...
