Ron Santo Autographs and Rookies

I've been a Cubs fan my entire life and although I'm so happy to see Ronnie get in, I'm so disappointed that they couldn't have done it when Ron was around.

That being said, his autographs have really taken off since the news:

The same thing happened with Andre Dawson autographs when he made the HOF. My favorite autos out of my collection are his Archives rookie reprint...

...this Fleer Greats SI autograph showing a cover photo from the Summer of '69...

And this triple autograph featuring the Cubs All Star 3rd basemen of the 60s, 70s, and 00s.

That Archives is a great card James. And yeah, Dawson's prices were through the roof for a couple months after the announcement.

There are still more people bidding for his stuff, even now, and I'm sure that'll continue with Ronny.

Did some research for on card autos and when I saw this one, I knew which one I wanted!

I love the Cubbie bear prominently on his left shoulder too, I know its a nuance about the card but I love it.

I always wanted a 08 Ultimate with the white pinstripes like the one in the first post. It was very tough to find without Ron signing off the swatch and onto the card and I ended up completing the Bat Barrel Auto set instead.

I severely dislike trapped autos but man that's a downright gorgeous card.

That Archives is a great card James. And yeah, Dawson's prices were through the roof for a couple months after the announcement.

There are still more people bidding for his stuff, even now, and I'm sure that'll continue with Ronny.

It's cases like these where getting in the HOF increases prices. Everyone kinda sees a spike, but shoe-ins don't hold the spike long.
