No kidding. Why hasn't a MOD done it already?Card Magnet said:Holy over-elongated signature Batman! Jeez. I remember everyone complaining about it countless other times, me included.
Care to oblige us and shorten it up please?

I don't get why these foreign players (Rubio, Yi) think they get to choose where they get to play in the NBA. If you want to play in the NBA, you will enter the draft you will get selected by any team that wants to pick you, you don't get to make a list of the teams you want to play for. You get no choice in the matter, if you want to play in the NBA you play for the team that drafts you, regardless is you like the weather of the city or if the market isn't big enough for you.

It costs these players money to come to the NBA. Rubio has (I think) a 6 million dollar buy out with his Spanish team and the wolves can only contribute 500k to that. So it will cost him 5.5 mill out of his own pocket to play for the wolves. I'd be a little more careful where I chose to go if I had to put down that type of money.

All these trade rumors are media driven, especially rumors to NY. The Knicks have absolutely nothing to give the Wolves for Rubio. People need to understand that the Wolves can afford to wait on him, this team is not going anywhere and is rebuilding. They owe a 1st rounder to Clippers, but it is top 10 protected so the Clippers certainly won't be getting that next season. The Wolves could have as many as 3 1st round picks next season all being in the top 18. The Wolves are in good shape.

He is already suing the team that has his rights. I'm sure they will agree on some buyout deal. Msts likley the team gets 500k from Wolves and then Rubio pays a few hundred K installments over a period of of a few years.
Rubio will get some nice endorsement cash playing in the NBA. The Wolves will use him as the centerpiece marketing guy for ticket sales. He is most marketable player they have. He will sell a lot of tickets in Target Center.

It is possible that Rubio could wait three years overseas, build up his game, and then return to the NBA so the Wolves get nothing, would be sad for the Wolves because they got ****** on this. The Kid should play, but likely won't, at least you got Flynn who is very good and young. Plus I think Corey Brewer is due for a big year.
