I have a customer who is a super master Yankee auto collector.

He has an auto of every Yankee from the 50s on besides Munson and a lot from the 40s.

If any player is traded to the yanks, he buys it.

I talk to him a lot about his collection and the hardest guys are the cup of coffee ones regardless of the decade.

Case in point is amauri sanit who pitched like an inning for the team two years ago. A hard to find auto.
Well, he is in this issue along with many others like him.

That will help out many collectors.

If he still needs Sanit, I can get him in the Mexican League

Website/checklist is pretty clear, stating over 1000 Yankee players, etc. If anyone did a quick google search, that tell you that over 75% of all players to put on the pin stripes is in this haha.

At the end of the day, someone is going to pull a Ruth or Mantle or Gehrig for $40 or whatever.

HEY THERE STOP THAT! NO COMMON SENSE ALLOWED, THIS IS A LEAF PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!

ONLY PITCHFORKS AND TORCHES!

The padilla is bad for sure and I'm talking about the player and look. You can barely see the auto.

The O'Connor is awesome! A guy who played on the 1905 team? Crazy.

Brian next time you release a Yankee product please feel free to PM for some names, I would gladly help you out. That list is really bad. No Steinbrenner, Bob Sheppard, Miller Huggins ? These along with the ton of others I can think of being a lifelong diehard fan are not expensive cuts at all.

And for the love of god please do a music cut set. I have a ton of names and ideas, it would be huge. Not like that other crap music set released last year.

Steinbrenner not being in the product is inexcusable.

Not only is the Juan Padilla signature hard to see, the picture is not even of a Yankees uniform.
Leaf, if you're going to use a horrible cut up card or picture, at least have the player wearing a Yankees uniform for a Yankees set.
If you can't do the card right, don't do it. No one's going to miss a Juan Padilla autograph (6 games with Yankees) from an 1,000 player checklist.

By the way, I'll update the original post tonight with the newest cards to hit eBay and from FCB members to add to the list of cards pulled.
I checked eBay a few hours ago, and still no Ruth, Gehrig, Maris, DiMaggio, Mantle, Ford, Berra, Munson, Jackson, Rickey Henderson, Mattingly, or 1927 Murderer's Row players, so that's good for my still-unopened box.

Good luck. He's still mad that La Flama Blanca blew a save last jueves.

Some of these Moonlight Graham-caliber guys would be cool to have, but you'd have to really love the Yankees to want them. Good thing those bandwagon fan days are long past!

Just because there are some....doesn't mean there are many.

I'm not going to knock you on the product....it's an interesting idea. Like history of baseball this is a lottery ticket longshot at a good name. It has it's place, but I doubt people will buy a 2nd edition for the Sox or similar big name team.

Where else can you get a Mayday Malone auto? Every "Red Sox Nation" fan needs one to go with a Mike Torrez and Bucky Dent.

I hope you're not sitting on my 1/1 Meulens auto! Though...given how prolific a signer he is, Meulens will likely be a /10.

The product is a Yankees-only cut signature product. Were all the common signatures to have been Tino Martinez, Randy Johnson, and Mariano Rivera? If ya don't want to hit an obscure Yankee player...don't buy it! But for a shot at a cut sig from one of the most storied sports franchises of all time for less than $40 is a little more fun than a pack of Tribute WBC.

Also, isn't there something at Yankee Stadium signed by just about every NYY player regardless if they had 1 AB or 1000?

I do think the concept is a good one overall. After thinking about it, I'm curious to know how long it took Leaf/Brian to acquire all of these signatures. I can't imagine it was able to be done in a short timeframe.

It took way too long!

I'll probably pick up a box or two for my son anyway. I wanted to see the checklist first and while I have no idea who most of the players are anyway, it's still a pretty cool concept.

My son can't make up his mind if he likes the Yankees or Red Sox so I'll get them for him and let him open and keep them and he'll probably end up being a Yankee fan much to this Sox fans dismay but his enjoyment tops that any day.

I updated and alphabetized the list of cards pulled in the original post.
They're from current and completed auctions, as well as results from this board and the box breaks board.

Still no listings of monster pulls like Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle, Maris, Munson, etc.
I hope Leaf isn't holding these cards in later boxes so people still think they have a chance to pull them.

Please post in this thread if you see great cards pulled on other message boards, as I don't read Blowout, Beckett and other boards.

While I haven't delved into the complete checklist...I'd assume those 6 players above are represented as 1/1s, so who knows, maybe they went the Topps route and made "Thurman" 1/2 and "Munson" 2/2.

But seriously, out of roughly what...6000 or so cuts...we're literally looking for 1:1000.
