Hey everyone,

Earlier this week my cousin collapsed while getting ready for work and has been unconscious ever since. He has no brain activity and it's likely that today they are going to be taking him off life support.

Aside from the obvious tragedy of losing a relatively young man (he is 52), the real tragedy is for those he is leaving behind - his wife and 5 year old son who will grow up without his father. The 5 year old, Adam, is a huge Yankees fan who just made his first trip to the stadium on Sunday for Mother's Day. Just two days later this happens.

I know many on here and have never asked the FCB crew for anything, but I thought it would be worth asking if anyone would be willing to donate some Yankee cards to this little guy to help boost his spirits in the coming weeks. Obviously nothing will ever make up for the loss of his father, but hopefully getting some cards of his favorite players will help boost his spirits a bit. Even a few base cards tossed in a PWE would surely have an impact.

Thanks for taking the time to read and please PM me if you have any interest in helping - again, I'm not asking for much and please do not feel obligated to help out in any major way, I'm just trying to coordinate whatever effort I can to help. I can also show you a picture of Adam in his baseball uniform via PM as well - I just didn't want to share that on the public forum.

Many thanks,
John

EDIT: Not sure how to change the title but go to page 4 for update of delivery!

Also, my condolences to the family and best wishes moving forward.

I'm kind of new to this forum, but I know what it's like to lose a father. Please pm me an address. I would like to do something. Sorry for your loss.

Someone should send this story to the Yankees. They would probably do something for him even if its just a fan pack for him.
