Just heard on the radio that the highest paid player today is Aaron Rogers at 22mil this year. (Followed by Matt Ryan and Joe flacco, which is another huh? Moment in itself).
25 years ago (1989) the highest paid player was John Elway at 1.85 mil. Wow!

Well considering that things have gone way up since then. This is only about 800k a year in salary increase per year . Seems about right to me.

Love him or hate him, blame Jerry Jones. He totally changed the NFL's revenue streams and Contracts. With that extra $$$, the League has raised the Cap a ton almost every year.

And the Average QB salary will be around $20 mill soon, it's already about $14-16 mill. Flacco got lucky with his timing, heck, Alex Smith is making around $18M...
