You guys ever watch auctions of the exact cards you sold months before? Tell your stories! Ever see cards you sold sell for MUCH more later on? Sorry, a completely random thread, but it came to mind when I saw this card up for sale: [ebay:1tby95vg]110577027026[/ebay:1tby95vg] This card I sold for $202.50 to this seller earlier in the year.

Sold this to the seller for $225 earlier in the season. I would have bought it back but I refuse to deal with him now.

What's the story here?

2006 Allen and Ginter, Musial Wood 1/1.
I picked up shortly after release for just over $200
That winter, I put it up with a $400 BIN/BO, got an offer of $350 and took it
Buyer put it back up about 6 months later and I believe he got $400 for it

I dont have many regrets in selling, but this is one of them, as I dont believe I will ever see this card again up for sale.

I was tracking Mauer chrome autos when he was hot and noticed a slab I had previously sold get relisted. I think it fetched 5-10% more the second time, not really enough to cover fees. The one that really sticks out for me is I sold a Ryan Braun gold refractor auto when he blew up. A $1000 BIN/BO had been hit the day before I listed, so I listed mine at $1000 BIN/BO as well and after a couple offers the BIN was hit. Braun turns out to be the real deal and a few months later I saw my card in a BGS 9.5 slab (I sold raw) sell for $1700 and change.

My favorite is buying back the same card and then profiting off it a second time. That's like the ultimate prospecting maneuver in my opinion, and is extremely satisfying to achieve.

I sold a BGS 9.5 1995 Bowman Best Refractor of Andruw Jones for $1800 and bought it back from the same guy over a year later for $342. I wish that is all I had into the card still, unfortunately for me, I sold it at a loss myself the first time. Buying it back for $1400 less was kind of awesome however.
