Triple-A Portland: Simon Castro, regarded as the top pitching prospect in the Padres system, will finish out the year in Portland after spending the season in Double-A Fort Wayne. "He's earned the chance," Smith said. He's scheduled to make two starts for the Beavers. Last Thursday, Cedric Hunter had a huge game, going 5-for-6 with two homers and eight RBI.
