I bought this card recently because I liked the card not the holder. It measures about 1/32 inch short side to side but correct top to bottom. I realize bCCg isn't exactly PSA but are they known for grading trimmed cards? Are Topps cards prior to 1970 known to have variations in size?

BCCG grading is done at first glance/impression. It is used to grade bulk cards quickly.

I've noticed minor variations in size, but I assumed it was mainly from the low-grade nature of my former vintage collection.

It's not just 60s Topps. If you open a box of pretty much any cards, from 1952 Topps to 1989 Upper Deck, and stand them up, you'll see at least 1 card that sticks out a millimeter or two, or is short the same amount. But I wouldn't put it past BCCG to grade a trimmed card. They are basically garbage for dealers to sell to people who don't know better.
