Not to repeat the same viewpoint that has been rehashed in the past 8 pages, but I don't see how this is any different than what Topps has done with some of their sets. If people are upset about this, then they are really going to be upset when Leaf unveils their 1948 and 1990 retro sets.
I say give them some time. Brian has proven that he can produce a quality product using his own designs and concepts. His baseball experience is only in it's infancy, and so far he has hit a home run with the limited offerings that have been anounced in both Metal (his own design), and the Rose product coming out (again his own). Both products look to be superior than anything Topps has put out in quite some time. I'm willing to bet that those won't be the last quality, original sets that BG has to offer to the baseball market. Now if only he could acuire a license or two...
