In an franchise like the Giants, or Yankees, in which their top prospect is a catcher and are very concerned with their development, what is your though process? Do they hope to get traded?

Are you talking about other catchers in the minor league system or the catcher on the Major League level. Bengie knows he's moving on after his contract is over, but I don't see how being a catcher is any different than any other position in which a top prospect plays the same position you do.

Yea I think he was talking about in the system and not necesarilly the ones in the majors already. So like Buster Posey with the Giants, how does Jackson Williams feel?

Jackson Williams will get a job as a backup catcher in the majors just because he is an excellent defensive catcher. He just needs to get up a reasonable hitting skill level. I don't think he should be that worried.

He is an excellent defensive catcher and I hope he becomes more than just a backup somewhere.

If you're Yorvit Torrealba, and Ianetta is coming up, this is what you do:

Float the FA market, and when nobody signs you, you sign as the back-up and continue to work hard, as you're grateful to be on an MLB roster.

If your bat is big enough, the parent club will find a place for you. They always will.

In the case of Jackson Williams - there is always a place on MLB rosters for a defensive catcher who can bat around .250. See Jason Kendall now.

Exactly... which is why I think he has the potential to be a starting catcher somewhere.

He is. I felt bad for him during the Cal League playoffs last year too since he had been in SJ most of the season and then along comes Posey.
