Driving to meet him to get people's stuff back is pretty damn close to confronting him.
I did receive a PM reminding me about GarkoCollector and his MUST SEND FIRST notation. I had forgotten about it - and I didn't realize that was you.
It just makes it kind of ironic that you'd try to get involved in any way with that situation given your "possible" past.

As said before, its all old news. Guess I shouldn't have tried to help people get their stuff back. I specifically said of help so he wouldn't be getting confronted. I had no cards in the submission so he wouldn't have to worry about angry people coming to meet him.

Keep up the witch hunt. Will address ANY concerns via PM but my feedback here speaks for itself.

So much for being able to escape that with a username change here.

Actually, the name change was for the exact opposite reason. Wanted people to know exactly who I am.

It was Chris Gilmore's decision to allow him on here. Tom has been a model trader on these boards and wore the letter of MUST SEND FIRST for well over a year. He did everything he was supposed to. No need to ban him. If you have a problem, talk to Gilmore. Other than that, we're all pissing in the wind with all these links. Its been beat to death.

I have sold to Tom, bought from Tom, and traded with Tom. All without a problem. I am sure at some point we will deal with other in the future. I look forward to it. I knew of the "must send 1st" logo, and was warned by people before I did. I am glad I decided to work with him, each time has been more than pleasant. His alleged past is just that. The past.

That being said. Tom, it bugs the **** out of me to when sellers to that, and also when buyers send me lowball offers.

It is kind of interesting that the first link he posted has someone claiming that a Tom Murray (aka Tom Murry) was part of some mischief -- and that he is also known as GarkoCollector...

...which is the name tied to your photobucket account.

Yep, I also noted the Garkocollector on the photobucket earlier.

The behavior he's shown in this thread is consistent with the previous claims.

Brian--give it a rest or you'll find yourself with a nice vacation. As I said, he was allowed on here by this sites owner after a background check was run. He has been a very good trader on here and has been generous to many members when they least expected it. So lets not try to drum up some crap about someone who doesn't deserve it. If you have any further questions, please come to me via PM and I will be more than glad to answer them.

Or you did the name change because you DIDNT want people to know who you were.

whats the beckett BV on the card in question?

Just curious why this matters. There is no more irrelavent term in collecting than "book value".

I see what miggy is going for. Perhaps the "book" value of this card is the sellers price of auction. When Tom offered 100 to the seller, the seller knew the "book" value was *** and Tom was lower than that. I have dealt with people before that SWEAR by the book value of a card.

I've found that most that do, like to quote this to you when sell value is greatly in their favor. However, any offer where BV is in their advantage but sell value clearly isn't, they're just not interested.

What's proper etiquette in terms of a % decrease when making an offer? If the BIN is $150, and you offer $100, is a 33% decrease an insult?

No. Regardless of what you want for the card, if someone offers fair market value, you can't be insulted. If the seller wanted his BIN price, then he shouldn't have it the card up for "best offer" and he shouldn't expect the buyer to know that he wants $40 over market value. The seller can price the card however he wants, but if it's an $100 market value card, then he needs to be prepared for offers around $100.
