Some bad news for Topps Chrome Baseball...pack odds

Early box breaks I'ved seen Topps Chrome is looking very sweet.

I wonder how much crying we would be hearing if Strasburg didn't get hurt and his stuff was still on fire and warm and fuzzy feeling would be all love for Topps Chrome.

you just don't get it. i was going off the beckett breaks and additional checklist which is what we have up until now. it's called a discussion.

I don't think you saw nobledpaul99 5 case break listed on eBay last night. Brutal! Two heywards and 1 Castro and that is it in 120 autos. Beyond awful bad

assuming he listed everything which I believe he did only 5 blue and 3 gold autos. That is Terrible F !!

That Drew Stubbs gold is sweet looking card. I'm hoping Castro auto doesn't get too spendy. I need to get a cert auto of his. I really like photos used on most of these cards. Guy priced his low end way too high. Maybe he will get lucky and sell a few at 9.99, if he went 4.99 a lot of those would get bids.

I think he needs to take that chance in order to have any chance of making 50% back on his break. I wish him luck. I placed a few bds on his stuff

he did list it all, he hit 117 autos including 6 usa, compared to the 120 autos + 5 usa advertised, so he was short 2 autos, not too bad i guess
but he said it was bad, and the other hits were even worse

if I get 30 cases like this, ought oh! lol, surely I can hit a SS and a few nice ones, but not gonna matter much on this one
I do wish there was a bit more color overall, retail is full of those xf, pur, org, be nice to have some green, black, etc

Topps responded on Facebook that none of the Chrome Autos are SP.

They might seem like SP's because there are so many of them. 50 is a lot and with 2 a box, 24 a case I could see how you think they would be SP'ed

but i have now seen heard of 9 total cases and no strasburg
4 heyward, 1 stanton, 2 castro

should be interesting

those guys may not be grouped or sp in one sense, but no way they signed all the same # of cards...
based on case run there is near 200,000 autos if 24 per case
only 46 different, that's 4,300 per player including the few parallels which total less than 800 of them, so 3,500 regular autos each...wow

Joey Votto, potential NL MVP and triple crown contender, according to beckett.com, in 2010 has 2 autographs, 13 memorabilia cards, maybe 4 Patches of which are from Triple Threads and Numbered to 3, 3 1 and 1....WTF???

my wife tries to help some...

blasters also have those easy oranges that the strasburg went $213 last night and there are more orange refractors on then any other of his cards, lol

i hear the quality control is a mess
many 3-card packs, damaged cards with sticky goo and print lines
and smears/smudges all over the autos

sad, this SHOULD have been a stellar release

the refractor shortage really bums me
should I send topps pics of 1,440 missing refractors, lol?

yesterday when i made suggestions about how to improve looks like retail is there
they have all the hobby ref, plus ORANGE, PURPLE, XFR... be nice to have those here too

I bet those 1 per pack orange refractors unnumbered outsell the blue /199, 5 per case ones from hobby since the strasburg orange sold for $213
