So I got a PM from a board member who did not post in the thread. It was in response to to my comment below. I'm still not sure if it is just a joke or something else. I won't release his ID because I'm not sure why he would PM me instead of replying directly to my post in the thread...weird...But apparently I was "Warned" via PM....LOL

As friendly as everyone here can be... we are not going to shoot ourselves in the foot. Take Mahtook for instance, I picked up quite a bit of his stuff for my PC knowing Dan was after him, too.
You know what Dan did? He let me know that he would be bidding just to let me know that we may end up driving up prices on ourselves -- nothing exclusive to either of us... like a "May the best man win" kind of thing.
It's not bad to have competition for stuff, and you can have courtesy without expecting someone to totally yield to your buying.

OH I DID!!! - How is your collection going thus far? I slowed on mine. I have been picking up some more base and blues as I find them for reasonable prices. I saw a Gold Ref auto at a crap show locally...BENT straight across the center. Like it was folded or something. Seller wanted $175 FIRM - he said "If you actually knew anything about this hobby then you will know that it will still sell for top dollar. Stupid Fu**King kids think they know everything." --- Funny because I am 30 (he must have been 50ish), I guess i look younger than I am.

I laughed and walked away with my pocket full of my cash. Went to the nearest antique store and bought some straight razors.
