Sportlots seller to avoid!

Wanted to pass along a warning to any Sportlots users who buy via auctions, never ever ever deal with seller nnccards. I won 6 auctions for different 2014 Finest inserts a few weeks back, for $3 plus $7.80 in S/H (quite a lot for 6 cards, but the cards were cheap enough that I didn't see it as that big of a deal). I just picked them up from the PO today; they couldn't deliver it because it was postage due. So, for my $7.90 S/H, not only did I have to pay extra at the PO, they were shipped in a PWE with one Forever stamp. And, needless to say, the cards were damaged. Corner damage on all of them, although judging by the creasing in the blocker cards (at least he had the decency to add those in), it could have been a lot worse. Guy profited almost $7.50 on shipping, sent me damaged cards, and made me pay for extra shipping? That combo makes for the worst seller experience I have had on Sportlots, even worse than a few orders that I never even recieved.

I was expecting him to be a new seller, based on his pretty horrible overall job. Somehow, he has over 400 positive feedback, with no negs (16 neutrals) in two years, and it looks like he only does auctions.

So, just to update, the seller refused a settlement offer, so now I have to ship the cards back to him out of my own pocket, or I don't get a refund at all. Classy f'ing guy. He must have taken what I said to him about his ridiculously high shipping rates (and ridiculously poor packaging) to heart, as he's really going crazy now:

I'm surprised you get a refund at all. Last time I filed a complaint because a guy sent pwe and a card got ruined, I was told by sportlots that the seller wasn't responsible because I paid for budget shipping. I had no issue with the cards coming in a pwe but when they get damaged, apparently it's tough luck for the buyer.

Interesting. I had given up on paying for "Premium" shipping, as whenever I paid that it still came in a PWE. I guess if you always lose a case paying for budget, then it might be worth it to pay premium sometimes.

In my case, it was auction items, which don't seem to be governed by the same shipping rules as regular orders. But, I did have a customer successfully get his money back from me on a card he purchased with budget shipping (allegedly arriving with a dinged corner, but there's no way to tell since the card he returned wasn't the same one I sent him).

As a seller I have won and lost cases sending in PWE. I don't understand why. It was my understanding that budget was on the buyer. I had one recently show up ripped open and I lost that one. O well I sell cheap **** on there so I can't complain with a few charge backs.
