Are we sure he's not an auto in chrome that is just signing now?

We're not, and that would be pretty misleading if it turns out to be true. I'll tweet Topps and make sure.

Just got a reply from Topps regarding my inquiry about Castro's and Ackley's autos being in Bowman, not Bowman Chrome:

Yes. That's not to say they won't be autos in Chrome. I just tweeted the info I was given today.

@toppscards are you going to have any cards in 2010 Bowman that won't be on-card autos?

@yellowkicks I'm not sure about that. I know that we had some guys sign some stickers, but not sure where they'll be used.

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh............

anyone know what a case will roughly cost? jumbo price and hobby price? thanks.

I probably paid retail price for my boxes - $57.50 for the hobby boxes and $100 for the jumbos.

In response to pigskincardboard - It is kind of frustrating if you like to open boxes. The majority of products offer a horrible ROI and then when there is a product that seems worthwhile the market pushes that product to a price that turns it into a gamble as well. At times it seems a no-win proposition.

I wish I had the kind of money to order cases like a lot on here - but I did pre-order one jumbo and one regular, so who knows maybe I will get lucky. I missed out on the initial prices, but pulled the trigger last week (and now glad I did) I saved about $20 ordering 2 days before the Heyward auto announcement, who knows what they'll be at now.

Back when they were under $800 I told my GF we should order a few cases and could probably sell a couple and get quite a bit of money back and still have one to open and that it was easy money......I said it half kidding and obviously she didn't believe me....now I can tell her - I told you so. :P

I decided to ask Topps if Castro's autos would be on Bowman or Bowman Chrome stock within Bowman.

Their reply:

Almost positive he'll be on Chrome stock, but I don't have the sell sheet in front of me at the moment for reference.

If he's right, things just got even better.

That was the question I had upon clicking into this thread. DAAAAAAYYYYUMMM!!!

Like I said, I might even be further ahead flipping my cheap case of Jumbo I'm getting from Andrew. Who knows where case prices will go?

Sorry if this was already answered, but does Strasburg have a base bowman chrome and a regular bowman auto in this product?

I guess I don't understand everyone and the assumptions that Starlin will be in 2010 Bowman.

Nothing so far has backed that up-it could very well be 2010 Bowman Chrome that he is in. Yeah, the card stock has to be Chrome, because the only non-chrome auto in 2010 Bowman is Strasburg, from what I am understanding. Just to play devil's advocate, I wouldn't assume just yet that Starlin is an auto in 2010 Bowman. Sure, I'd love for that to be the case, but from the posts I have read, none of them back up firmly him being in 2010 Bowman.

I might sit on mine for a week after release and see what case prices do (yeah right...).

I paid a bit under $800 too.

Look again at the preliminary checklist and at this thread.

There are plenty of autographs on base Bowman stock besides Strasburg, and according to Topps' Twitter page, Castro is in fact an auto in this product.
