I'm just really sad that Steve McNair's family is going through all this speculation and gossip right now.

It is a simple test they can do on scene to see if she pulled the trigger. Shooting the handgun 5 times would leave so much residue on her hand that it could not be mistaken. That is why I am skeptical of the murder suicide theory. It is pretty open and shut with that test. Also the fact that the gun was under her body is abnormal as well. Can happen but usually never does. Obvious reasons that is what it looks like happened I am just wondering why they could not rule that to begin with. They never wait even for public figures... I was dumbfounded when I got the text while away for the holiday.

There IS a simple gunshot residue test but it doesn't prove she pulled THE trigger, just A trigger. The residue stays on your hands for a while, even through showers and the like. If she happened to be a gun enthusiast or had even just used a range in the past few days she would show up positive on the test. There is certainly room for doubt even after a test, which is why I assume they're tracking down all the leads before releasing information.

Residue or not her finger prints would be all over the gun if she shot it. They could figure that out in a few hours.
