Well with the girls gone my son and I are going to eat some lunch then off to get some shrimp to fish. Hope to catch some snapper, trout, flounder and more

Good morning all! Heat wave here. 25 degrees now, looks like we might get above the freezing point this next couple of days.

Any day is a great day to fish. Red snapper sounds good. Good luck!

I caught a 24-3/4" legal northern pike last night with a few crappie and bluegills. The shack next to mine caught the first legal walleye of the season also.

Pretty sure the war/conflict wasn't ever started then.

Ops 1973 damn phone
And Dave the conflict was started just aftr the Korean War. 1955 We sent troops to other countries just after the Korean War they where Cambodia, loas but our actual involment was not until about 1961 and the again in 1965 we started air raids in and in 1968 we double the amount of troops.
So 1973 the Accord was signed and we fully left Vietnam for good in 1975

I can't wait to get back up into the northwoods this spring... I miss the lakes. I read a little brochure that one of the towns near us up there put out and it said there were 127 lakes in a 10 mile radius or something like that.

According to this chart, we have 29 lakes (I only consider it 28 because the lake in town is a dammed river). If I'm correct, most of them are deep in the riverbottom, and not very accessible. Some are surrounded by private property as well.

Our county is 881.24 square miles.

Morning Dave!

Have fun with the party, Paul.

Ralph, nice catch with the northern! My GM went for a weekend of fishing and got a few nice walleye but that was about it because it was so cold out.

Alex, actually we were already involved in Vietnam by 1963. Early on we sent militiary advisers in to assist...

Actually in 1955 just after the war started between North and south veitnam. We sent soldiers to Cambodia and even Loas and into Indonesia. Some of the guys that are in the Veterans breakfast club where there at those times. And then left in about 1958,59

By comparison, the county that's north that I am talking about has 802 lakes on 2,414 square miles. They have 2.74 times the land that we do, but LOTS more lakes.

How would you guys ship a large framed jersey?
I am looking to sell a professionally framed David Price Rays jersey. It's not a FULL SIZED frame, the jersey is folded to display from the neck to about the mid-abdomen but is fully visible from side to side. I am thinking it would take a box like you'd see a flat screen tv in, with some bracers around the edge of the frame and all of the empty space filled with packing peanuts.

That sounds about how I would do it, Adam.

Zach- Did you get your new vehicle?

Packing peanuts can still flatten out Adam and will not protect correctly. You will want to cut card board the same size of the frame and tape that to both sides.

A few years ago when I shipped a 24x30 Custom frame I cut 2 pieces of 5/16 plywood veneer and attached it to the 2 sides of the frame and then boxed it up using two boxes I got from office depot.
The wood only added about a pound more to the weight

I would take it to one of those shipping places, just to see what they would use, then make your own from there?

Ahhhh gotcha. Good luck with the drive!

Thanks. I'm just glad I won't have to make the 6-7 hour drive back by myself. Its a long and boring trip when you're going through South Dakota and Nebraska

Oh trust me, I know its a boring drive lol. I used to live in Pierre, right in the middle of the state. All of the major sport events such as state tournaments or soccer tournaments were either in Sioux Falls- 2.5-3 hours east, or Rapid City- 2.5 hours west. There were times we would be making at least one of those trips per month, sometimes 3-4 per month. My favorite was going to Rapid City just because of the Badlands.

Good afternoon, all.

Ty - geez. Save some for the rest of us!

Early dinner w/the folks, who are coming into town for a belated b-day meal. Anyone ever been to Zingerman's Roadhouse in Ann Arbor? Supposedly some of the best Mac and Cheese in the country....I'm licking my chops already. I think they might have a box of Bowman Draft in tow as well.

In the late 90s I did a rotation with the remains recovery team in efforts to bring fallen soldiers home. Missions took us to Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. During the three trips we brought home 17 fallen soldiers.
