i sent a buyer his card. 2 weeks go by. nothing. he agrees to wait another week, and it doesn't come, so on july 4th weekend he sends me another message asking what we should do about it. i see the message but don't respond because i'm really not sure what to do. i forget about it and enjoy the weekend and on monday he is filing a strike against me [or whatever you call it].
i provide the ebay cs people with a pic of the receipt from the PO and they still give the buyer his money.

After reviewing your email, I understand that you have proof that you
sent the item to your buyer, yet he has not received the item. I know
this is a difficult situation to be in and I am sorry to hear that you
no longer have the item. I hope to be able to explain what our policy is
regarding tracking information.
I understand you have shipped this item to your customer, but at this
time we do not have tracking information that is verifiable online.
Thank you for submitting the receipt as proof that you shipped the item
out. We have no doubt in our mind that you shipped the item. However,
please keep in mind that sellers are responsible for ensuring that their
customers receive their items. [so they want us to hand-deliver things now?]
I hope you can understand that it would be unfair for us to overturn our
decision without first verifying that your customer has in fact received
the item. It is very possible that the item was held up at the post
office or was lost in shipping. Without tracking information, we have no
way of knowing for sure.
At this point, I recommend you contact the shipping carrier used and see
if they can provide any documentation showing this item was successfully
delivered. If they can provide you with official documentation
specifically showing delivery, please give us a call. We will have you
fax that information in to us for review. Please note that a shipping
receipt will not prove delivery - it will only prove that the item was
sent out. "
so i guess the moral of the story is to use deliv conf on everything and just jack my shipping up? my PO won't even let me buy regular deliv. conf. unless the thing is like an inch thick. pretty hard to do on a single card in a small mailer.
is there anything i can do?
i am tempted to just quit because this is stupid. if i provide proof that i sent it, that should be enough.
