the question is simple if you were the GM of the Edmonton Oilers what would you do with the first pick in Friday night's 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

please feel free to share your vote and the reason for your choice.

I don't see trading it as an option...that would be an absolute disaster for Edmonton.

From an hockey-fan standpoint, I see them going with Hall as I think Hall is the better player.

From a Bruins-fan standpoint, I'd prefer them to take Seguin, as I'd rather see a natural Winger go to Boston, and as mentioned above, I think Hall's a bit of a better player.

Regardless, my vote went for Hall, and I think that's the way they'll go. I just hope that Seguin is able to make a smooth transition to the Wing, cause there is no chance he'll be playing Center in Boston.

I voted for Taylor Hall as well.

although they both seem to be can't miss prospects Hall appears to be the higher skilled player. he also seems to be a stronger leader. which is something the Oilers really need.

* I added the trade option because you never know what kind of offers Steve Tambellini has been fielding and what the ownership might tell him to do.

Well considering that i really haven't seen Tyler Seguin play all that much and i have seen Taylor Hall play like 20-25 complete games plus World Juniors, plus all OHL Playoffs and Memorial cup action these last two years i have to go with Hall. Not only that, he is born in my hometown of Calgary. So i like him already for that reason :D I was sold on Hall after that very first Memorial Cup game when Hall got checked head first into the boards and was lying on the ice bleeding. It was a huge hit and i thought Hall was done for the game, if not the entire tournament. But nope, he was back on his feet and scoring goals less than 3 minutes after that hit. That toughness really impressed me and i also think that Taylor Hall is gonna be the more marketable player of the two. The Oilers are real fools if they don't take Taylor Hall.

I'm hoping for hall to go 1st..so the B's get Tyler. IMO Tyler is more of a game changer and all around player.

it's good to see at least one person picked Seguin. I truly believe they will both turn into great NHL players.
