A couple of recent pick-ups to round out the Nu-Cards from 1960 and 1961. These are the 2 1960 cards:

Here's the one and only that I have.

Oh and the card is not in that holder anymore (it was in it only for a couple of days until someone told me to quickly take it out because it could damage the card).

A recent pick-up that the seller identified as:

The Sports Collectors Digest Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards lists this type of photo as a 1940s-50 Anonymous {a black and white photo with white boarder and name in script on glossy photo stock.}

This is the same image as the 1947 Homogenized Bond Bread Cards and 1946-49 Sports Exchange W603 (all of which I have as well).

Anyone know if the seller's identification of this picture/card is correct?

Finally picked one up aye? Childish looking, but you'll learn to love the set(s). I don't have a 49, but happy to own the 43

....really?? You could slab the cachet and it would look great just the same......

I collect cards, not cachet's...
Believe me, it will be a sweet patch auto for a fraction of what a topps would be, and look MUCH nicer too.
I am excited to see the finsihed product! Also having patch autos made of Rickey, Ichiro, and Mantle too!

Very excited about this rare Williams card. Not in the greatest condition, but I have not seen many of these at all. Little bit of tape on the reverse and rough right edge and corners but a great picture and nice Spanish on the reverse!

1946/47 Propagandas Montiel, Los Reyes del Deporte (Cuba)

Here's information about the set- These 2.1" by 3.1" Cuban cards are made of a thin paper stock, and are usually found pasted in a colorful album. These cards are made of a thin paper stock with a yellow or orange design border, and are frequently found slightly miscut. The set is made up of Boxers, Cuban Baseball Stars of the past and present, former Big League Greats, current Big Leaguers, a few Wrestlers, along with players from 5 teams of the Class B Florida International League. These cards like all other cards from Cuba are often found with insect holes and or humidity damage making nice examples tough to find. There are 180 numbered cards in the set with a few variations including one showing a portrait of Gabby Hartnett on a Bill Dickey card (#56).
