That sounds interesting. Looking forward to the pics!
OMG does this bring back memories!! It's amazing to think how little we knew as kids the things we had and abused and used daily would be collectible decades later. My brothers and I had a bunch of these balls. Too funny. Thanks for the walk down memory lane, Scott!MaineMule said:A real odd-ball item for me.......does not fit in any cardholder I am aware of....

1970 Chemtoy Superballs
Chemtoy and MLB teamed up in 1970 to offer a set of major league baseball player "superballs". The 285 "superball" set has 12 from each AL & NL team except Minn., Chicago and Oakland with 11 and is packed with HALL-OF-FAMERS !!! Each "superball" has the player's photo inside the ball. On the back is the player's name, team name, position and a Chemtoy inventory number.
This is one of the more interesting collectibles from the late 1960's, early 1970's and highly sought after by Team and player collectors.

wolfmanalfredo said:Great stuff as always Scott, I voted for you and I think those that didn't don't know that cards were made before Bowman Chrome. I think as far as players PC's go in the contest without a biased approach and just based on density and extensiveness, its between Your Williams PC, the Chavez PC, the Grace PC. I would have loved to enter my Puckett PC because I already know that your Williams PC is more extensive then mine.
Anyways, Picked up another late 40's B&W 8X10 auto of my most expensive player collection. I'll have to scan it here tomorrow. I've also been on my continued search through my stash of boxes filled with cards, and came across my 6th 58 topps Williams AS. I'm amazed at the stuff I find in some of these boxes. I'm also a little pissed that I'd misplace some of the cards I've found. For example I found the 57 Mantle in my sig in one of these boxes. The Williams I just found looks like it may grade a 6, so it'll go in with my next submission. I also found a mint or better Rollie Fingers RC, and a Vida Blue RC that looks close to pristine. May be able to get some cash on those after grading.
Sorry again for going on and on, I'll contribute some pics/scans tomorrow
