I think pattern #90 might be my favorite right now.

I also didn't notice until recently that patters 28, 29 and 30 are almost the same with a slight variation.

Just picked up a 3 card lot of one of my players for 29 cents.

FYI, my first submission to BGS, they foolishly printed the wrong parallel on 2 of my slabs. And yes, I wrote the correct parallel on the submission form.

Pretty good example of a grading service screw up involving '98 Teks IMO.

This is a Jeter 98 Tek (base pattern) that PSA slabbed and graded as a GEM MT 10. The seller has a large image of the scan in the text of his listing. There is significant shadowing outlining the player. The card isn't damaged, but to me this isn't a GEM MT 10 card. I've seen even more prominent shadowing, but this is quite noticeable. I give no credence to the slabbing of '98 Teks and wonder why anyone wastes his money doing it.

I've gotten serious about putting together complete base Tek sets of all Vladimir Guerrero patterns from 1998, 1999 and 2000. If anyone has any patterns to sell or trade, please let me know. Getting close on 2000, but only have about 5 patterns of 98 and 99 now. Thanks for any help!

I don't mean to point out the obvious, but there are 75 1998 Tek Vlad base on Sportlots. Maybe you could get a discount on a lot?

*EDIT - Oh, I see now. He's asking $3 each. Still, maybe a lot price could be worked out? I think a couple members on here know how to contact him directly.

Yeah, I've checked out sportlots and comc and made orders from them. The $3 per 98 was high, I'm targeting $1.50 or less for 1998s and $1 or less for 99 and 2000. I don't want to get killed with shipping costs on these either, so trying at first for lots. This part of my Vlad "mega parallels" challenge. In all, I'm going for every base card he had in 98-99-00 Tek, and all the DLP parallels of 2004 Leaf Exhibits, 2005 Studio Portraits, 2005 Sportscasters, 2005 Polo Grounds, and 2005 Epix. A daunting task!

Working out a deal with a member for possibly 42 1998 patterns at once.
