Where did you see that? I still see him on the schedule and promo page. Is there an updated page somewhere?

He is not listed on any of the Sureshot pages, only on the scheduled to attend for the GBSCC site, and I spoke to his agent and he said the promoter was giving them the run-around.

Oh man, I miss this show so much. I'm completely bummed as I'd love to get an auto from Burks and Troy Brown. Looks like I might have to send my brother... I'm sure he'll be thrilled to wait in line for people he doesn't care about :)

I will be there on Saturday morning, probably by 10am. Anyone want to meet up around noontime? I believe this is the show that has a room off to the side with lots of tables to sit and chat at. Could do some trading of our own, and talk shop.

I will still be going. Looking for Rickey Henderson GU, #'ed inserts, autos. If you are a dealer, friends of, or have them to trade, I'm your guy!

You will see me with the Henderson jersey on. Which one? Dodgers, Padres, oakland throwback, Red Sox, pick one!

Unfortunately, Leaf is canceling its presence to to weather. I heard yesterday that PSA will not be sending its authenticators due to weather. This show really should be delayed.. I would not be shocked if all the big auto guys cancel.. BG

Sorry, but that is just DUMB! This storm is over after today. Flights and such should all be back up and running (except for maybe the most severely hit areas of the Mid-Atlantic). Clouds are already breaking here in RI with patches of sun getting through. By Thursday, which I'd guess is the earliest traveling dealers would arrive, the weather is supposed to be nice. I just don't understand why Leaf, a company based in TX, would cancel coming to a show in Boston that is several days after the storm has ended. I get it if you have family on the coast that was affected by the storm and you are going there to help them instead, but to say the "weather" is keeping you from coming is really sad.

Bill: A lot of people who may have traveled out may be going back during that time frame, too. Remember, a lot of flights were cancelled in the NE region. It's just going to be a hectic time.

Ah, I just hope most of the dealers are local and show up. Personally, I could care less about the autograph guests. Most them charge absolutely crazy amounts of money to sign anway, so I wouldn't bother even if they were there.

sounds like this show will be a ghost town with some of the big players already dropping out.. I'm definately sticking to the Ebay card show for this year!

Hey guys and gals.

I hope that everyone is safe. I am still working on getting an update. I had an email last night that we are still setting up as per our regular schedule. We know that there will be some dealers who will not make the show due to weather, but most will still be there. Brian, I hope that you reconsider attending. With cleanup happening today, and the show location so far away from any problems, we are still going forward with our regular plans. We are waiting on an update from sureshot on the auto guests, but so far there have been no additional adjustments to the line up. The rest of the week looks great as far as the weather goes. I for one will be there, as I hate raking leaves.
The club starts our set up tomorrow, dealers start arriving Thursday, and the show will be open friday thru sunday.

If I hear anything on anything concerning the show, I will post as soon as I can.

Thanks,

I will still be showing up and I am looking forward to it. To expect the organizers (and dealers) to be able to move the show back from this weekend is asking a lot. The storm passed yesterday, cleanup is well on its way, and the weekend is looking great. Hope to see a lot of you there!

I understand the thoughts..

A few thoughts..we are coming to buy.. I think the crowd will be very light since the surrounding states got hit... I am sure it will be a nice local show, but to think the show will not suffer is naive.

I will definitely come to Boston next time as I do great buying there! However, we have make the best decisions for our business and I cannot justify this one given the circumstances. We will be in Chicago in mid November (at which many of the larger dealers are also attending).,. BG

Hi everyone,

We are still on and ready to go. The few dealers who are not going to make it have been replaced with other dealers from our waiting list.

See you at The Shriners!

No huge changes. We set up the tables today and there are just as many as every other year, and they are all booked. I am not sure which dealers were replaced, so I cannot comment on whether they were vintage dealers or not.

Take it easy and see you this weekend.
