A 2-hit shutout through 8 IP so far. He's been downright nasty. :o

It has definitely been fun to watch. It really should be a 1-hitter. He got screwed by the ump.

Great to see....esp. with all the question marks now in the rotation.

I know Toronto doesn't have the most impressive lineup, but what I like is that this is the third time he's faced them i believe (?), so it seems he has adjusted to the hitters more than them adjusting to him as they see him more.....which seems like a good sign....at least to me.

3-0 against Toronto this season with an ERA under 2. :mrgreen:

Romero has faced the Sox 4 times going 0-3 with an ERA over 8 I believe...Yikes. :?

Unfortunately, he won't be back until next year.

Where are all the Red Sox fans upset with having him instead of

a) Roy Halladay
b) Cliff Lee
c) Justin Masterson (yes, someone said this last week)

Remember, it's one start.

Sergio Mitre just one-hit the White Sox through 6.2 innings.
Two starts ago, Buchholz gave up 7 runs in 4.2 against the same Chicago White Sox.

All three of Buchholz wins have came against the fourth place Jays.
His three loses have came agains the Yankees, Detroit, and the Rangers.
Buchholz needs to step it up in big games.

THe yankkes have gained three games on the Red Sox when Buchholz lost. Boston hasn't gained any games when Buchholz has lost. I know you can't control what other teams do, but if Boston is looking to win the Wild Card they need Buchholz to step up and pitch good every game.

Buchholz pitched damn good against the Tigers and Yankees in those games. Verlander had one of the best performances of the year against Clay, and CC shut the Sox down as well against Clay. He has been no where near bad in his losses. The No Decision games he has been pretty bad, but the examples you gave he pitched well enough that a team should get him 2 or 3 runs a game.

Just another case of the Yankee troll hating the Red Sox and not making a valid point.

DET: 7IP 5H 1ER 3BB 3K
@NYY: 6IP 6H 2ER 5BB 3K
@TEX: 4IP 6H 3ER 2BB 3K

The start against Texas was not his best, but it was only his 2nd start of the year, and he was on a low pitch count. The starts against the Yanks and Tigers were starts where Buchholz easily pitched well enough to win.
