A 2-hit shutout through 8 IP so far. He's been downright nasty.

3-0 against Toronto this season with an ERA under 2. :mrgreen:rymflaherty said:Great to see....esp. with all the question marks now in the rotation.
I know Toronto doesn't have the most impressive lineup, but what I like is that this is the third time he's faced them i believe (?), so it seems he has adjusted to the hitters more than them adjusting to him as they see him more.....which seems like a good sign....at least to me.

Remember, it's one start.
Sergio Mitre just one-hit the White Sox through 6.2 innings.
Two starts ago, Buchholz gave up 7 runs in 4.2 against the same Chicago White Sox.
All three of Buchholz wins have came against the fourth place Jays.
His three loses have came agains the Yankees, Detroit, and the Rangers.
Buchholz needs to step it up in big games.
THe yankkes have gained three games on the Red Sox when Buchholz lost. Boston hasn't gained any games when Buchholz has lost. I know you can't control what other teams do, but if Boston is looking to win the Wild Card they need Buchholz to step up and pitch good every game.

Buchholz pitched damn good against the Tigers and Yankees in those games. Verlander had one of the best performances of the year against Clay, and CC shut the Sox down as well against Clay. He has been no where near bad in his losses. The No Decision games he has been pretty bad, but the examples you gave he pitched well enough that a team should get him 2 or 3 runs a game.
