I need to think about how to find these better. I guess it's just looking through tons and tons of other player cards or specific sets which have a lot of action shots. I don't know how else you'd catch it. Glad I joined the thread.

well, thats pretty much how i do it. I havent searched in a long time for myself, but i used to just sit on the couch, pick a year for astros, and while the kids watch their kid shows i just scroll thru page by page by page. But i would also do more research and figure out who batted where in the lineups to catch any on deck cameos. Thats where i started last night with Belle.

I will say that as you get into the late '90s, there are fewer and fewer cameo cards... the quality of true action shots and photography declines greatly.
I haven't found another Belle... I guess I was mistaken when I thought he would have 100s LOL!

I think I remember seeing some guys who collect checklist cards which list their guy... any site to use for this or just go set by set to see if they have a checklist and then do the leg work... sounds like a pain in the a$$ actually lol

Not just team checklists, but he collects if his player is even mentioned on the card, such as in the little blurb on the back, or stat comparison. I think its a Ryne Sanberg collector...

I used to be that guy but recently sold all of them to another collector. I had searched for anything with Ryno pictured or mentioned anywhere on the card.

Not a whole lot anymore. My focus has drifted away from the hobby considerably. I sold all my #23 /XX cards. I just sent off all my relics and autos to be sold. The only things I have held onto are the 80s/90s stuff and all the non-card items. I have considered getting rid of the 80s/90s stuff, but I'm not sure. I won't get rid of the non-card items. I am starting to venture into full game-used stuff.
